There will be two rather large changes starting next season. The first one is a modification to the training system. From next season onwards a trainingpool will be introduced. In this pool you will be able to put all your cyclists who you want to see get training during the weekupdate. All cyclists not in this pool, will thus not get training (the 20% default fitness update will still be received by all cyclists!) Note however that the more cyclists you put in this pool, the less effective the training will be. Up until 25 cyclists there will not be any trainingloss. If you put more than 25 cyclists, however, a certain percentage (depending on the number of cyclists you put in this pool) of training will be lost. For example, if you put 50 cyclists in the trainingpool, the training effectivity will be a little less than 50%. The effictivity of the training your cyclists will recieve will be always mentioned. This method will be used for all training skills, including fitness. The second change concerns the finances. Starting next season, the weekly interest of 1% will be removed. In stead, a more realistic bank method will be introduced: investments. You will be able to invest your money in shares of the Peloton Inc. corporation. The terms are as followed: - Each investment has a period of 16 weeks, no more, no less.
- The interest after this period will be 10% of the invested amount.
- The investment can be redrawed before the end of the 16 weeks, but this will result in no interest being paid out and with an additional penalty of 5% of the invested amount. It is only possible to withdraw the entire sum of the investment, not just a portion.
- You can have a maximum of 10 running investments.
- There is no limit (minimum or maximum) on the amount of money per investment.
Note that the interest cost of 5% for negative bank balances will remain as it is.

The new trainingsmethod seems very good (although I would choose 30 in stead of 25 ). And what was wrong with the 1% interest? What advantage does the new investment system has?

I like both! ;D the investment give less money over the 16 weeks and most important if you want the 10% you have to "block" the money modified: ooops i forgot: Good job!

I like the new way of training and I think 25 is just fine. With 25 riders you are able to ride all races almost without any fitnessproblems. In addition, you can choose to train only your younger riders, while you keep more older riders only for racing without training.
The finance thing is also a good way to promote long-term thinking by the managers.

Nice changes.
as someone else has said 25 cyclists is plenty to allow you to compete in all races, and plugs the loophole currently being exploited.
In future, I'd perhaps suggest a training bonus for cyclists who don't race much, but don't think this change is warrented just yet.
The interest change is intriguing, but I'm not convinced that 10% is the correct amount here. With many teams sitting on pots of money at the moment, I can see lots of people investing big, and still having enough running cash to do just what they want.
This of course implies that I thought 1% interest was too high in the first place...

For me, the supporters system was the most urgent thing to deal with, so I'm very disappointed not to see anything on this... For the investment system, could we have a complete example in order to be sure to well understand, please?

1) trainigpool: I will have to sell a lot of interesting cyclists the coming weeks. There will be some heartbreaking moments... However I agree something had to be done about the training system. I don't like this limitation by training speed. It's no longer possible for me to train my own scouted youngsters (it's possible but it would be stupid), and that is one of the exciting things in this game. A money penalty would have been better. Changing the training curve was the best change made so far in my opinion. And transfer prices were all ready dropping for certain cyclists. But 25 is a bit low in my opinion. Most pro tour teams have 30 cyclists. And in a couple of season there will be a big problem to train talented youngsters. Because from now on it will take 10 seasons for talented cyclists scouted now to achieve anything. The limited places for training isn't the biggest problem. But it takes most of the time 8weeks to see if a youngster is talented or not. So maybe another way to discover information about the FA would be nice. 2) investments: This won't change a lot for the wealthy teams (I'm the wealthiest ). It's a bit more realistic, so no complaints about this one. It's not unfair to make profit on this, in my case I sold a lot of interesting cyclists. So I win less races, but in the future my finances are more balanced, and I'm able to pay the best staff.

What will happen with injuries? Is it possible when a cyclist isn't in the training pool to get injured?

If you are interested how to see that, you can PM me.

For me, the supporters system was the most urgent thing to deal with, so I'm very disappointed not to see anything on this... We are working on this, but it is not an easy one We don't want to rush into a quick but not well overthought implementation. This is a very big change and we still hope it will be implemented somewhere next season, but no guarantee yet. Sure Let's say I have 10 million on my "Current bank balance". I open an investment of 5 million. This investment is "locked" for 16 weeks. During these 16 weeks I can open 9 other investments (up to 10). When the 16 weeks are over, you receive 5.5 million for this first investment. And now I see that Il Padrino has formulated this a little different as we intended : "Money can be redrawed from an investment before the end of the 16 weeks, but this will result in no interest being paid out and with an additional penalty of 5% of the invested amount." The 5% should not be on the invested amount BUT on the amount that has been withdrawn. Example : From the 5 million, I withdraw 1 million : 5% of 1 million = 50000 penalty, so I receive 950000. 4 million is still on this investment, after the 16 weeks, 4.4 million is received. So this means : if I don't touch the 5 million, the profit will be 500k, if I retrieve 1 million, the profit is 350k (400k - 50k) I hope this is also how IP understood this Maybe he can change the sentence a little bit to avoid confusion.

with this new way of investment, people will save some money to spend, and invest with the rest of the money. So people with less then 10m won't make intrest, and people with about 40M can set aside 20m and invest. The difference between rich and less rich will become greater this way.

If you have 'only' 5 million on your account, why wouldn't you invest 4 million of this if you are not planning to buy a big cyclist ?! You still have 1 million left and also the racemoney, sponsor, merchandise will be added every week.
Let's compare the 2 situations : * The situation now : If someone has 40M, he will have 40.4M the next week, and will get interest on this 40.4M ! 16 weeks later he will have a little less than 47M ... that's 7 million on interest only, and he can spend the money whenever he wants. Someone with 5M on his account, will have received 862k profit. A difference of a little over 6 M !!
* New situation : If however, he puts 20M aside, he will have 22M + 20M = 42M (profit = 2M) and 'only' can spend the 20M left on his account. The other manager invests 4M and receives 4.4M + 1M = 5.4M (profit = 400k) A difference of 1.6M !
* take it 1 step further : both managers invest all their money, except for 1M. The first manager invests 39M and gets a profit of 3.9M. The second manager invests 4M and gets a profit of 0.4M Difference = 3.5M, still almost half of what the situation now would give.
I wouldn't say that the difference between rich and less rich becomes greater ...

I like having only 23 cyclists There was a time I had more than 30 but i found it too much, so now i can evolve to 25, perfect actually I find the new system better because there were people who had 50 cyclists, trained them fore 2 seasons at 1 skill and then sold most of them. This is now history Investments, I will have to look at... I'm not so keen on losing money for 16 weeks (i know you get interest but still)

NikeBoy : thanks, now that's clear. I hope IP has the same point of view that you have! ;D When you say 50% less, you compare it to today's training speed?? So if you have 50 cyclists, every cyclist with a bad FA will pop every... 2 seasons or something like that? Would it be possible to give us a table of the effectivity of the training with the number of cyclists? So we could foresee a little better our training plan...
