Come on IP, just compare the time standings for 20-21yo with the top10 in div1.1 races. Even if they train faster, it will take a long time before they can win something. even if they have FA20 and high CA.
And luckely not all cyclists are equally good.

Belgium div1.1 youngster jersey in Tirreno: 54th place in general standing, 84 participants youngster jersey PN: 71st place, 89 participants
At what age will they be able to win if they have FA20 and CA20?

Small suggestion to put a little bit more random in races. The CA of a cyclist don't have to be the same always, a solution could be that a cyclist has a CA=x and in a race it's possible to race with a CA=X-2. This way, you'll have to be a little bit lucky if you want to win and the managers without super cyclists will win too! Example: Cyclist A and B have exactly the same stats, exept CA. CA (A) = 10 CA (B) = 12 Cyclist A can have a CA from 8 to 12 and cyclist B can have a CA from 10 to 14. Normally cyclist A wouldn't win anything, but with a bit of luck his CA is 12 in a race while the CA of cyclist B is only 10, so he'll be faster. I don't say the differences have to be so big (+2 and -2). A fact is that cyclist who were bad, will still be bad cyclists, but sometimes they'll maybe reach place 40. And the best cyclists can have a bad day too. The rankings won't change a lot I think

I like randomness, but i think that regrouping will have more of an influence on final positioning and time differences than a little difference in CA. If anything like randomness is implemented, it might also be nice to introduce a new hidden skill: mental stability. This could determine the amount of fluctuation a cyclist undergoes. One cyclist could perform on a rather constant level (boogerd, evans) whilst an other will either perform great, or fail miserably (Devolder, Ullrich) The first one will always perform decently, won't win much. The latter will win great victories, and disappoint badly at many other times. I know introducing a new skill is probably never going to happen, but I liked writing this anyway.

Only a small suggestion (that's why I put it here ): The system of injuries doesn't seem very realistic at the moment, the way it is now, cyclists are injured for a/some week(s) and are not able to train during that period. When their injury is over, they can directly start to race. I would change that into something like this: Cyclist injured for 4 weeks or more: can't train Cyclist injured for 3 weeks: can train at 33,3% Cyclist injured for 2 weeks: can train at 50% Cyclist injured for 1 week: can train at 75% Cyclist who isn't injured anymore: can (offcourse) train at 100% and race. This way, people with more than 25 cyclists can choose between an injured cyclist or another cyclist (with a worse FA) to put in the trainingspool. And people with 25 cyclists can put all of them in the trainingspool, the injured cyclist will just train a little bit less. It's just because I think that the way it is now is not realistic. You never see a cyclist who is injured, doesn't train and then all of a sudden can race. If this is too hard to implement, just forget my suggestion

The calender has in the title: '(period 1/8/2009 - 2/4/2009)' Is it possible to put the season number in stead or maybe extra.
ex: (period 1/8/2009 - 2/4/2009) season 8

Can the page title of the Race Standings page be changed from "Results" to "Standings"
I often have the Tour Results (Days race) as well as the Tour Standings open in different Tabs. They both say Results so I cannot see which is the standings and which is the results window.

Not all cyclists are equally good, and I do hope that there are more bad cyclists in the game than good ones I'm relieved to hear this - I've been adding as many bad riders as I can to my team, and for a while I thought I was doing something wrong!

I would like to be able to see when managers last logged into peloton. This would go on the team details page. (This feature exists in hattrick and is quite useful)

Maybe you can show also an extra table.. Not only the best cyclist of each division, but also the best rookie/youngster who has the most points.

Probably suggested before, but I'd like to see a international league, where the top team of every country can promote to, and for the smaller countries maybe who had the most points...
If you end low you just relegate to the country 1:1 again...
wouldn't that be cool? (like I said, probably already suggested tons of times but couldnt find it)

I've won the top division in Spain for the last two seasons and the two seasons before that I finished 3rd, it is a constant battle between 3 teams (hopefully more are joining in the outskirts of the battle each season). However I cannot compete against the Belgian and Dutch teams who have been around far longer than me. After a few seasons the top teams would all dominate the 'Champions League' so this league would simply end up being a replica of the current Belgian 1.01 with a few Dutch teams thrown in and possible an Italian. In the meantime if I was very lucky I might spend two seasons in this Champion's league where I'd spend the whole time fighting to get a few points and the odd top 20 finish. My fans would desert me and I'd earn no prize money. When I was relegated back down to the Spanish first division my fellow combatants would have benefited from a year of success compared to my year struggling.
