ElGringo . I think you can calculate it. Now the second attack point is set, and if my assumption is true that sprint kicks in on every set attack point, all km's can be boosted with sprint. But to proof the thesis it can be interesting to set both (with only two attack points it is an ideal race for testing).

Gommers keeps the MJ. And Kasseienstoempers takes an extra reward, Pray is the best youngster. Strong riding of Gianna - two jerseys and even a second place today. And a great stage victory of Lorenz. Congratz to all the winners.
A nice week up ahead for the climbers and the hill specialists with a ITT and a mountain sprint in Italy and some interesting races in Japan.

A new bug? I've noticed with some/all? of my riders that when using in the rider screen using the option "cyclist history" the transfer and injury information disappeared. I dont think it is a bug , we are trying to cleanup the db and I think someone made a mistake and accidentally deleted those lines. Too bad, it was useful information on injury proneness. But if it is gone, it is gone (except maybe a for the ones that keep an elaborate administration on their riders). Let's see it in an optimistic perspective. It is now a very good time maybe to sell your bunglers. :-)

Wel, two jerseys for Gianna is likely if he rides at 100% without any flat tires and falls. Only the mountain jersey needs to be decided then. It could be very well be the winner of the stage, or maybe Ribeire or even -if he is played at 100%- a Luz?

Ab Normaal Two stages and Sloodts in a good GC-position. Your plan is working out well. Norway seems a good place for letting your talent gaining mood. A dangerous place too, by the way, many teams are suffering from injured riders. Giannarelli and Ribiere for top 3? quiller , Pietrok for the wil tomorrow? Or Lorens of ElGringo ?

A new bug? I've noticed with some/all? of my riders that when using in the rider screen using the option "cyclist history" the transfer and injury information disappeared. The transfer details can still be seen by selecting directly the "transfer history". But the medical track record can not be found anymore. I've checked with some other teammanagers that seem to have the same problem for some riders. It is not clear to me when a rider has this problem and when not. My impression: very recent injuries seem to be recorded again.

Well, expected or not, it is not that I did not mention this possibility Congratulations with another nice double, Quiller. -Edit- A bit harsh on Belluzzo. He was climbing so well in the last part in front of Welschen and Banciu until the sprinting started. And Naz came back at that point from 8th position. Strong riding of Pollyjeans Veen as well - no fitness trainer needed, he is left with 80%. And maybe a strange miscalculation with one of my climbing favorites, Parisot of Pedale is left at 90% fitness? Probably all the attack points went to Minnebo? - - Not bad for me, Defrance will wear the TJ en PJ until next Tuesday. Five solid days of possession of those jerseys. No money or points involved, but we will have to see if any other rider can take possesion for such a long time ;-) What are the plans for Norway? Any predictions? For me, for now... Flanquart will try to ride top 5 in GC.

Yes, Ab, congrats. Bredael is starting to be a world class rider. While Defrance his sprint seems still a bit better, the last hill or descent was too much to keep up with your rising star. So, what are the predictions for tomorrow, CEFALÙ - ETNA? The first mountain points will be divided and a spectacular mountain-finish! Of course saving fitness today is a good indicator for the plans of tomorrow! :-) Naz seems to be the big favorite to finish first on the Etna. But will he go all the way or will he ride only at 19% fitness-loss? Maybe Venturato or Parisot can take advantage by going all in? And of course, starting from Cefalu, before reaching the volcano, the parcours is a technical one with 45km's of hills. Maybe there will be a coup of hill-skilled riders like Veen, Belluzzo and Agnelli who will try to ride away from Naz? And what are Quillers men up to? Banciu and Welschen have been saving fitness today as well! Is he planning another duo-escape, or maybe a trio-escape to launch Venturato in a good position?

With only half an hour to go... All teams start. Only one riders seems not te be at full fitness, Trotz at 90%. What will this lack of sharpness mean for the GC-aspirations of Pedale Bolgnese?
In the mean time Carapaz revealed a team of 24-29 year olds lead by the oldest rider in the pack, the 39 year old, experienced leader Jeaneau. The 24 year old Biaram is expected to do well in the youth rankings. While Heroes brought the youngest rider, K. Tabor, 20 years, and the youngest team on average, 21.8 years.
First race MODENA - ASOLO, 189 flat km's followed by a small hill and with a downhill finish. Bredael, Paasikallio, Banciu and Defrance are my favorites.

@ab, thanks for the strategy update. Who is your favorites for the point jersey?
In the mean time Quiller presented his Giro-team. Leader Banciu and multiple-point-jersey winner Welschen are experienced giro-veterans both being able to win stages. Can Welschen pull of the trick again, or is he losing too much of his punch because of ageing? As a dark horse we welcome Venturato, who might have a plan for the climbing-ITT next week Wednesday? While the 24-year old Binette is for sure a contender for the youth rankings.
Now we are impatiently waiting for Heroes and Carapaz to reveal their line-up. Will they make it in time?

Congrats to Quiller again. On a roll!
Looking at the line up so far for Italy, I see that Pollyjean might have a GC man that can threaten Naz a little bit, Regis Buitenhuis - how does aging affect his climbing skills? Nisse Veen maybe for a intermediate race? And Ngogo seems to wake up from hibernation, bringing a strong team with Giro-veterans and proven stage and jersey winners: Broers and Agnelli. Menschaert has also proven he can win a stage, while Landry Smit has a good track record on smaller tours. Pedale Bolognese is bringing Trotz - an old winner of the maglia rosa - but that was 5 seasons ago! However, Parisot is riding an excellent season so far having beaten Lorens and Feerick at the steep climb of Lo Port in Catalunya. And of course Kasseienstoempers will pick his moments, with likely stage wins for Feerick, Bredael and Belluzzo. And of course Sauersteig who will battle with Melres' Tirlea for the last ITT (the first has too much mountain?) While Berdios might have set his mind on a white jersey bringing two 24-25 year olds to compete with El Gringo's Brassard. My only hope for a stage win comes from DeFrance - maybe on a good day.

ElGringo . I found it strange as well to see my all-rounder-in-a-few-seasons-to-be Zoeters -mood ok, only set first ap- finishing before your Strauss. Maybe he is too much hill specialist, c.q. not yet allround enough for this classic? And well, for sure, Naz did lose his second spot by missing out the last attack point (quite obvious how Banciu accelerated there). In the race Naz held at some point the first position -after an early climb and I did not see him losing any time downhill. The combination of many strokes flat-hill and the Quiller-duo-escape must have done "the job". But I guess no time for regrets. Because, we will admire his climbing skills in Italy soon?

Well, congrats to Quiller's boys, with an impressive double. It seems it are not the hill specialists that are winning here today and neither do the climbers. Bienert has very good flat skills, as I recall. And even allrounder Banciu beats Naz at 85 fitness as well- probably because of being above average on flat as well?

Congratulations Naspa on Ramos his performance. He was the best allround rider and deserved GC. Didn't think Hingant could hold it the final stage. Not really suited for him. Better save some fitness for following races/tours and be happy with 2nd. Thanks! Well, Hingant did take several minutes on Ramos in the first stage. However I used only 1 attack point on him by then. While Ramos his sprint is far better than that of Hingant. But Hingants climbing abilities are way superior. However, Croatia is strange, with mixed terrain and a lot of ap's. An all rounder with decent DH seems to have an advantage on a typical GC-rider. Celebrations today in the riders Hotel of Naspa. I fear it will be much more quiet next week. Btw. What will it be tomorrow? Another great classic. Luik-Bastenaken-Luik. Naz at 85% effort? Seems that the race is more in favor for a good allround rider with a solid skill in hill instead of excellency in mountain. One of Ab's new stars? A few seasons ago I would say it might now be a race for De Gryse or Belluzzo, but they had their action recently already.

Thanks. I actually made a mistake. I wanted to go "all in" with Albusel yesterday, but put him only on 75% effort. I noticed there was not so much resistance- so i decided to give him an extra chance today. It did not matter for the jerseys however- Ramos took them all. He was set as GC man and was maybe the best? But we never will be sure, because he used 20% more effort than Hinguant -who might have felt maybe a bit intimidated by losing 2 minutes yesterday (while Ramos was set already at 5% higher effort).
