You kept the game alive, Arno last years. And for sure you cannot do that for ages. And we depend a lot on a few individuals. It needs new blood, vision and indeed some investment, time and money, and leadership to bring it further.
It is an interesting game, but a game that needs some improvements to make it attractive for a new generation of players. I like to see more tactical options for racing and a more realistic rider development (riders of 23 years old can win big Tours) and some more variation in luck (mediocre riders can have good days or might be lucky with the strategies of the teams).
Now it is a game for people with a lot of patience who accept having limited options. I hope somebody stands up. Was willing to do so a few years ago. Sadly now too much stressful things hapenning in my life. But I will warmly support all the brave who dare.

Depends indeed on the race. Helpers do make pace in the peloton if you have a sprinter or GC man selected. Of course you should look at the terrain types there. A young rider without much mountain, will drop off straight away in a mountain race. Helpers will bring team mates back to the peloton in case of flat tires or falls. Helpers do a lead out to sprinters increasing sprint chances. Like Poekie wrote, setting (4) helpers 100% effort, is only to be done if you have good sprinter that had severe competition. In some rare cased you can win GCs with this if last race is a sprint.
The broken thing with helpers is that in this game you never see them catching back a group that was escaping. Maybe it is because how we play the game, letting strong riders attack straight away and it could be different if somehow we all would play more GC-helpers options. But most likely we exploit the game the way how it was designed.

You have good points there wheelnut. The money part of this game is broken. I know there are some very smart managers that do very well. But basically a few rich teams have the power (and sometimes know some tricks, in the paste ven exploits) and get richer.
Younger riders should be able to book some successes early age - finding out FA en training 15+ seasons before even having a small chance of winning a senior race is not acceptable. And there should be a bit more strategic options (why should a sprint race be a sprint race? And why not speculate or plan on an end sprint in a hill race. Orders like: follow GC leader, keep pace, counter escapes, or go when others attack, could make the game much more interesting) and add gambling factors in this game. Even if the odds where 1:200 that Lafay would win today in the Tour de France, also in this game on a good day a thing like that should be possible.

I will send a pm to Helder, maybe he knows another way. Or maybe you can try to make a gmail account or something alike? I think then we are good to go.

Without other compensation or finetuning it does not seem realistic to me. Riders will reach 50 skillpoints when 28 or so. And that has many consequences, for example everyone will have many top cyclists, wages and that strange wage-renewal-contract-system will become more important... I do not see your point. What compensation you want for what? Abs record of 62 points overall will be broken in a few seasons, that is true. I do not mind that there are more competitive riders. Playing in 1:1. a little bit extra on some skills can make the difference. It is not different than it is now. Only younger riders get more competitive sooner. And older riders might with the right training stay around a bit longer.

the period between 26 and 32 is too long=> we could have a day from 6 of the week, with daily race for 26-30 years cyclists. Maybe one of the most simple things we can do to correct it without damaging older succesful teams, is having more frequent training updates. Like 2 or 3 a week. Any thoughts on this?

Make a new account. Your old account is probably too old and expired (gone). You get new password in email. Check your spam folder.

The HTTPS is restored (certificates renewed for another year.)
I am not an expert on this and it is always a bit fiddling around to find my way in servers and certificates renewals. If you experience any problems, please post here.

To all: the HTTPS-certificate expired. The site is deemed unsafe because we did not renew in time. Yet your connection to the server is still encrypted by the old certificate.
It is like you did not renew your password for a year. That is the issue.
I notified Helder and I guess we will work on a solution upcoming weeks. More information to follow. Please proceed with the "insecure" links. You do not run big risks. We run Peloton for years without encrypted connections (so passwords were send in clear text.) Now all is encrypted, only the keys for encryptions are 1 year old.
