Hello to all, No objectives this season, just the hope that i'll do better than last time, meaning place 8. It's not an objective as i don't know how feasible it is, is just a wish for which i will work hard. punkska: Everybody has something with Nightbiker . I was really eager to fight and beat him last season, after i've been told he is unbeatable. I was lucky with the calendar also, which was more suitable for my team. And he fought really well, which earned him my respect. Therefore, no personal battles with anyone for me, good luck to all, and hopefuly at the end of the season i'll be happy!

It was a very strange result :S My best flat helper and my sprinter could keep the pace in the part with 26km flat but the next one with 20km not, very strange. Congratz to the winners and good luck for next season. I didn't study the race, thus i might be wrong. I could suppose only the following on your post, based on my understanding of the race engine. At first the speed of the peloton is somehow the average speed of most of the cyclists. At the moment when some cyclists are dropped off, the speed of the peloton increases. It also depends on the number of helper, but four of the strong helpers were all the time in the first group. Therefore, i think it may be the case that the speed of the group was higher when your riders were dropped off compared with the previous part, and due to the difference of skill, they were dropped of on the next part. At some point, the difference in skill between the riders in the same group becomes lower, and nobody gets dropped off anymore. It's just an assumption, i may be wrong.

heppie: You were right and i was wrong. I didn't believe such differences can be made on flat, and its a good lesson for me. It is the second flat race that turned totally different than expected for me. Last time four seasons ago when my attacker was catched by the peloton (with a lot of helpers at 100%), and now, when i thought most cyclists will finish in the same time with the peloton. Lesson learned, you were pretty good in foreseeing what will happen.

We have almost finished this season. Looking at the stats, i think that joachim has the first chance tomorrow, but i am really really happy as all objectives and wishes for this season have been exceeded by far by the results. I think it is my best season in Peloton, and even if the next season will be again a nightmare, i couldn't care less at the moment.
Heppie, i don't really agree with you. I think tomorrow everybody will finish in the same time. There are not many chances that some cyclists will be lost during the race, therefore Bochinsky doesn't have the first chance. Also, from what i see my riders are better balanced between flat and sprint, but in this kind of race it won't help much.
ElGringo, Parlanti is not at all a monster. Fabbro is more of a monster than Parlanti. He is just one of the two allrounders i have (the younger one). I didn't hope he will win today, maybe top 10, but not stagewin. His stats are approximately 7.3 flat, 3.6 hill, 8.4 mountain 5 DH, 2.2 sprint, 10.3 time trial. Just that i thought that for this race the most suitable is an allrounder, Fabbro looks more suitable for climbing races than the one today. I took a look at the race, Parlanti gain difference every time on flat, while loosing a little bit on mountains. Also, after the middle of the race he was alone, i think that helped also, for the speed of his group on all terrains.

Thank you, Chakra. I'm sure we'll meet again sooner or later in this game (already happened). I just hope that next time we'll both be in division 1.

For Parigi tour we already know the first 3 riders. Will be: 1.- Van Landeghem - joachim1107 ( wasn't the best in the beginning of season but is training sprint and now is the best) 2.- Claereboudt - Melres United ( isn't training sprint but seems to be the 2nd best) 3.- Bochinsky - Evcont ( isn't training sprint, is similar to Claereboudt so helpers will have an important role) So saturday stage will be critical for you Chakra, if Joachim make some points in saturdays stage. What is funny is none of the three (best sprinters) are trained in sprint anymore. In my team i think that Puscasu is the best sprinter (he should be better than Bochinsky), just that Puscasu is more usefull in other races, so he doesn't get anymore too many sprint races. I think is hard to say who is better, Bochinsky also won a sprint race this season and in TdF he had lower fitness than Van Landeghem, if i remember well. So i think he still has a chance (i hope to win this race ). Also height/weight and helpers will contribute. My average ratings for this race (for all 5 riders) will be flat 11.3 sprint 7.6. I'm curious of your team and joachim's, if bothh of you want to share.

And the week continues to be interesting until the end. Usually i would say that 300 point are a comfortable difference, but given that Nightbiker made 500 points just two weeks ago, anything is still possible. I will feel comfortable only on Sunday evening if i'm still in the firts place.
Regarding the relegation, this stalemate i think is nerve wrecking. Everybody has still chances, but no big changes yet.
I recognise it is the most interesting season until now given the small gaps for me. Until now, it was quite clear pretty fast the direction, it's the first time i'm so curious how it will end.
Good luck to everybody for the last races!

Thanks heppie. Anything is still possible this last week. The only things to be certain of are the promotion of Evcont and Nightbiker. The relegation of Malinois Boys and EGV since they are both bot teams. The relegation battle is hard and exciting. Alesana, Neo or joachim? Only one team will survive in 2nd Div. Neo is doing very well in the Vuelta, but still lot of points to win or to lose. Still 7 difficult races to go. It's a thriller! Interesting week in front of us indeed. There only a few things certain, as you already said. I am happy to be back in the first position and i hope that i'll be able to have it again at the end of the week. For me Vuelta is almost over, with not many chances to score points, but some of the races afterwards are suitable for me. Also, regarding relegation, there are two sprint races for Joachim, Neo has his chances in Vuelta, you only have one mountain race in Vuelta. There might be a lot of changes in classifications until the end, or not. We'll see! Good luck to all!

Promotion for Nightbiker and Evcont is (almost) sure. But who of the two will win the division? I actually expected to already have lost the first place. But i kinda had much better results in Burgos than expected, and while TdF went pretty bad from the flat riders, the results of Calvet were really unexpected. So, i still think that Nightbiker has the first chance to win the division (given the remaining races), but this doesn't mean that i won't fight until the last race to win the division. Regarding Vuelta, my average stats are 7.8 flat - 3.1 hill - 6.9 mountain - 3.7 downhill - 5.2 sprint - 8.8 TT

Heppie, i miss your weekly statistics!
Great Giro for me, a lot better than expected. And Bratiano was reaally great, a lot of luck also involved. I'm not used to obtain any jersey in the big tours, so yes, i'm really celebrating the final outcome.

ElGringoI saw that Bregge is on the transfer list. And that you did with him the same mistake i think most managers did. I think he would be a lot more valuable now if he would be smth like 3 sprint and 9 TT. But who knew at that time the exact direction of the game. I have some cyclists with pretty high sprint which is useless now, and i'm sorry i didn't start training TT earlier than i did. Anyway, i hope you'll get on him as mucs as you planned, as i think is hard for you to give him away, as it would be for me with Puscasu.

Puscasu is out for the Giro. Last three seasons, every time in the first two stages of Giro i had one injured rider. It really is annoying, but this is it. Anyway, i'm sure i'l loose a lot of points from now on, as there aren't as many races for my team as until now. I find this normal, i will just probably get less and less points every week from now until the end of the season (except Le Tour where i have high hopes).
Again, annoyed that Puscasu is out, and so fast, but this means he will be in Le Tour!!

Evcont very strong in this 1st half of season, congratz. Thanks Elgringo and chakra. But for me the actual strong one is Nightbiker. I know i won't do anything in the mountains, while nobody knows his real strength. I have some power only on flat terrain, and even there, yes, the last twoo weeks were really great, but the first two weeks were pretty disappointing. Training flat from the beginning, i have high expectancies from my team, which looks weaker than two seasons ago. I will loose a lot of points in the mountains, my luck is that this season the calendar is more for flat trainers. I'm curious what Nightbiker will do from now on, he is the real one to watch at the moment.

I didn't check the race, Brusch has a low downhill skill, his sprint is reasonable. I didn't really expect him to win the race (he does not have a history of winning), but i hoped he'd get a few good points. Therefore, i am pretty pleased with his result today. Welcome back on the forum I would say. For me it's my second appearance in 2:2 and it seems it will not be for long. I missed tactics in the first weeks due to a holiday. It would have been a good excuse for the poor results. But it seems that this Div is tough. My team misses some flat skills. (and hill, and mountain, and....) Brusch did indeed very well. Congratz. I'm just hoping all the cyclists of the other teams get a lot of flats and falls, so I can collect some points and get out of the red zone. Nevertheless, I'm sure that after this season, one day I'll be back again. Chakra, I understand your feelings, as i had the same last season. I just stopped fighting at some point and then, three weeks before the end i felt that i have some chances to actually fight not to relegate. In the end, it was too late. Therefore try your chances, fight for every point, improve your team and you'll have your chance to stay in this division. Real mountains didn't start yet. True, this season there is more flat compared with most of the seasons, at least untill now. I felt i had a disastrous first week, but now i just had two great weeks, obtaining victories i didn't even hope for, Even today, i didn't pay attention that there are four races in Tirreno, so i was really surprise at the beginning of the week. I just bet for today on the one ciclyst with a lot of fitness, and it did end more than well. Totally unexpected, and now i'm really thrilled with the result. Ofcourse i lost the first place in time, but financially is even better, as i don't have to pay a pretty big bonus.
