The first priority should probably be keeping the game going as it is... quote from kurtinsc This is what it is all about, after that improvements in the game are possible If what I reed is correct: money will not be the problem, maintance off this game is maybe a problem because that is where the work is... anyway, IP said there is no reason the next seaosn would not start, it's up to this forum and people who read it and understand the actions that need to be taken to commit and let this game go on for ever if it's up to me :-) ... Time to make serious steps in this adventure

I agree, keeping the game alive (without long breaks between the seasons) should be the highest priority. After that, getting rid of some bugs (for which we needs programmers). If we have a stable game, we can work on changes and improvements. I'll just point out that getting rid of bugs does fit into the category of changes/improvements. The sim may have a few places where it doesn't work as we think it should... but that doesn't make it right or wrong. It's just how it currently works. It can be changed, but from experience (both here and at work in real life) someone will always say some piece of it isn't doing what they think it should.. while another person will say it's fine. Every change to the sim that has been put in has been supported by some and panned by others here... and that's just the message boards. I really think anything done to the sim would be classified as an improvement, not a bug-fix. Now if you're talking about things you click on the site that return an error message... that I might agree with. But I don't really see any of those.

I was talking about things like losing supporters after an u21 race. It's annoying, both for the managers and (I suppose) for Schizm.

Arno, the project need to get on move because IP already gave green light to move on, so is important to give the next step.
I will put an announcement now about the new season. IP isn't available so we will try to make the season update tomorrow night and then we add the calendar(need to confirm with Schizm), so lets see what will happen. I already made a backup so if something go wrong we put the back up of today.

Is there a possibility to talk with the core people working in peloton and IP outside the forum?

About the future of the game, right now we are in the hands of IP. Everyone knows that Ip/Nikeboy stop maintenance the game for about 2 years and the game keeps moving thanks to me and Schizm but we aren't hte owners of the game so the future is unclear.
Till now IP is paying the host server and that's why we already play this fantastic game, and seems he will keep for a while, but we don't know the future.
There were people interested in buying the game, one Italian manager, one Belgium manager and the project made by Ab Normaal. The proposal of the Italian manager was deny because of the low offer, the proposal of the Belgium manager was well accepted but after that no news related to the buy, the proposal of AB Normaal was stagnant in talks.
The game has a huge potential but needs a solid base to keep going, thats why is important to find a project that gives the future the game deserves.

I guess we all know that ElGringo. I'm up for helping out money-whise, tell me where to deposit and I'll buy shares. I think quite a few would want that.. Only there is no serious platform or plan or project.
I would'nt know how to do this so it's up to people who do.

I still think it is a good plan, but since way too few people committed on helping after asking, it is simply not to do for such a few people. I simply don't have the time to do it with only a couple of managers.

Arno, in part you are right but in other hand it would be difficult to manage with many people involved.
I like you idea and I think many manager too but maybe with some adjusts could be more easy to implement.

I am thinking in creating an add to place on google or facebook to generate more players, any one with knowledge that wants to help?

I'm not sure this is the right time to do this. What's the point in generating more players, if it's not certain the game will remain existing? For me, the following order looks better: 1) assure a future for the game (I guess this is only possible by selling the game?) 2) perfectionize the game (U21 supporter problem; funrace problem; some other minor bugs) 3) generate more players If you work in this order, I thinck the odds are better that new managers will effectively also stay.
Maybe instead of making an add to generate more players, whe should make an add to let the world know this game (with a golden future ahead) is for sale? Untill the game is sold, we can still play the game as it is now (with big thanx to ElGringo, Schizm and probably others I don't know about for making this possible).
