I'm not sure this is the right time to do this. What's the point in generating more players, if it's not certain the game will remain existing? For me, the following order looks better: 1) assure a future for the game (I guess this is only possible by selling the game?) 2) perfectionize the game (U21 supporter problem; funrace problem; some other minor bugs) 3) generate more players If you work in this order, I thinck the odds are better that new managers will effectively also stay. Maybe instead of making an add to generate more players, whe should make an add to let the world know this game (with a golden future ahead) is for sale? Untill the game is sold, we can still play the game as it is now (with big thanx to ElGringo, Schizm and probably others I don't know about for making this possible). I understand your opinion Bosko, but for now we don't have a buyer or people to join a plan for the game. IP. the owner isn't playing but he had keep the game working even he stopped 2 years ago. The add will be good for the game because could attract more new managers and maybe some become premium and the cost for IP will drop this way is easy to keep on going, and also with the rise of managers that could attract a good buyer with a long term project.

the cost for IP will drop this way is easy to keep on going... Do you have any idea about the monthly/yearly costs? (sorry if the information is somewhere in this topic, and I already forgot it). My hunch is that those expanses can be covered by people who are already playing it. (just to make it clear I'm only talking about regular costs, not about the time spent for solving bugs or developing the game)

The cost is about 80€/month but the big issue is the programming, we don't have a programer to fix bugs and make important changes. Okay, here is my opinion (which might be completely unfeasible): - the way in which game project has been laid seems a bit stuffy; too many people involved, and each of them with their own schedule, availability, dedication. That makes everything less flexible in terms of time management, plus the accountability for solving a small issue can bounce back and forth without a clear and timely resolution. That requires a leadership with a huge amount of time at his disposal, which is very unlikely. Imagine a leader with appropriate involvement and motivation, who has to deal with many individuals with their own agenda, and all of these in a pro-bono fashion. How long it takes till he gets worn out? Who is going to replace him? - it would be easier if IP can lease his rights/duties to a person, and that person decides what's the best for the game. He can employ help from one programmer or he can use two or more. He can also ask another person for a joint leadership or delegate his duties at his own discretion. All of these would be less time consuming and provide more flexibility. Yes, that person would be responsible for almost everything, but at the same time will allow a better time management and accountability. Moreover, this would move IP out of the picture (saving his time) for whichever period he'd prefer. - the issue here lays in IP hands; he probably needs to register his licence and to create a lease contract which specifically deals with his rights to claim and resume his entitlement at any given moment.
