what do you think about publicity banner in cycling news sites? For example there is a new project, cyclingpro.net that shows cycling news in 4 languages (English isn't ready yet), we can contact them and try an exchange... we put a banner about their site and they put a banner about our game, it's an idea! Maybe they won't accept but there are lots of cycling sites so why to don't try!

Hi Ab, As said earlier, I am willing to help. I will volunteer for a commercial or financial role and for buying shares. I think your plan is solid and achievable. I think developers/guys who know how to program is the bottleneck. If you don't have any, all will fail. Totally agree (but I don't volunteer for a commercial/financial role, I rather stay at "maintenance" or "Operational" as you call it). you can count me in for 40 to 50 shares if you find the right people for the development job. P.S. : I think Helder should be considering a roll as CEO because of his motivational talents, and since IP doesn't want that part, he should be the COO . You don't want to waste all that knowledge (even if he hasn't got that much time to spend on the game). Thanks for the trust Schizm but I don't know if I am the right man for the place. The majority of managers are Dutch, Italian and from Belgium so a person that have the hability to speak more then 2 languages seems the man with the right profile. I think Nico would be honored if he has time for the game. Motivational talent

A CEO should be functional in English, but I don't think he has to speak a lot of languages.
I can see that when communicating with a Italian or Dutch cycling website it can be a bonus to speak the language, but someone else can do that (assuming the team will have people from Italy, Netherlands etc).

Good idea..
I would like to get involved although I am not experienced as most on here.
I am English with no real 2nd language (a smattering of Italian).
One thing does occur to me, other than being a 'donation' how would the shares in the game (6,000) work in practice. Shares suggests ownership or share of ownership? Would we get certificates? how legally would this work? Would there be share holding voting for big changes in the game such as important decisions regarding game direction? Lots of questions I know but I wonder have these things been thought out?
An alternative approach would be to be fund the game through the subscription which would avoid the ownership issues.

I played this game a long time ago and stopped (had my reasons). Now I'm back and i'm intrigued by this topic.
I'm in for at least 100 (maybe more) shares if there is a decent business plan. I want to see this first. I also think that 1.000 Euro for advertising, developing, server costs etc. is a very low estimation...
I'm also pro to involve all the stakeholders in developing this game. For example, you can organise thinktanks for the players about different topics. Or you can organise a poll: Ask them why they play the game? hat they like and why they like it? What they don't like about the game? If they have ideas for a Peloton 2.0?

Guys, thank you all for the ideas and the offered help. negru, very good suggestions. The only reason I came up with three persons is the trust. Nobody knows anybody in person, and if all the money is transferred in one account an only a single person is controlling it, it would be also easy to steal it. But I guess this is up to the CFO and the board to come up with a plan. aaabbbccc, really good idea! I think there is a commercial role for you! wheelnut, well, we can't make it official, otherwise the taxes are coming, but we can indeed make certificates. Important changes can be decided over voting. Thinktank comes with new proposals (of course already spoken widely and approved there) and then we vote like a democracy. I am happy to talk about all other possibilities to fund the game! r2d2, thanks for your remarks! 1.000 Euros is indeed low, but if we attract more users and we getr more premium members, this can rise. And of course, if we sell more shares, we do get more money for this purpose. Your other remark: that is exactly what I meant with these thinktanks! I spoke to Kurtinsc, who is a programmer, and he offered his help. Of course he wants to know more about the code, but IP must be able to answer his questions. My main concern is not having a reaction of the Italian community (except for aaabbbccc). A big community which I like to involve in this. I hope they still come with a reaction on this plan. Weel, how to proceed? I guess it is time to fill in roles. Nobody volunteered to a particulary role, so I will make some suggestions. I hope the mentioned manager says yes, or that somebody volunteers for a role. CDO: IP Programmer 1: Kurtinsc Programmer 2: ? Thinktank: Mike, Poekie, r2d2, Maxz, Whistler, Rarau, Seberla, RaymondC, Shiraz, Slayer772004 CFO: Negru Team: Wheelnut, Neo COO: ElGringo Team: Schizm, Nikeboy (or if he doesn't want to, somebody else who can learn from ElGringo and Schizm) CCO: Tossboom Team: Punkska, Aaabbbccc, Champadero, Quatannens, Heppie, Phootyx, JoeLag, Poeta, Elite CEO: Stenes??? If really nobody wants to do it, I am prepared to do it, since it is my idea and it is in the line of my job. But if somebody else wants to, please do not hesitate to let me know! Please, this is a question for your help. But don't say yes, because you don't want to say no on the forum. If you really don't think you have the time or that you simply don't want to do it, please be honest about this! Curious about your reactions, and if the Italian Managers want to step in, please do so! Also, if I have forgotten anybody and he wants to have a part, please report here, or send me a PM, either here on the forum or in the game! Thanks in advance for helping rescue this fantastic game.

I don't think I'll find the time. But as a normal user, I'll always try to give some suggestions or feedback if I find time But I can't accept a function if I can't guarantee time, and for the moment I'm pretty busy

Hi Ab,
Good to read your ideas. Some remarks: - The CO role (all of them) is for the initiator and inspirator of his team. I don't think IP is the man for that job, we all know this. - I think the teams should be max 4 persons to be able to make decisions. Off course the thinktank can be bigger. For the commercial team one person in every active country is needed for local promotion, I guess you already thought of this with your name suggestions.
Maybe we can also ask some of the old school managers back (EGV for example). With the revolution coming they might be willing to step up.

Hi Tossboom,
Yes, in every country at least one, that was exactly how I thought. Maybe IP isn't the best one, but I have no clue who else. On the other hand, if he doesn't have to do things alone, it doesn't have to cost a lot of time. Nothing has to cost more than a few hours per week, except perhaps for the maintenance part. Maybe IP will get the pleasure back for his baby.
But if anyone volunteers for that role, be my guest, but I do think that computer knowledge is a must.
I think Helder is an inspirator, you are very active and I think you can be an inspirator. By reading Negru's post, I think he is suited for the job too!
But again, maybe I forgot people, don't be shy or modest, step up!

I said I was prepared to listen and to help if I liked the proposal.
I see I am in the financial team. I am very anxious the hear what this job means, so I can decide whether I will participate. I'm pro the changes but With I new job in private, the time isn't allways there.
I am allways willing to buy shares and i hope i like the interpretation of the financial job, so i can be a part of it.
