mod-edit : added the announcement about the mood here, because it is the oldest postWith the start of the new season the new mood calculation should come in effect. It took me more (re)thinking the concept as I expected (on already limited time) , so I have only finished my "homework" today. - mood will be recalculated weekly, after the sunday-update ! - the goal was to base the mood primarly on the wage that is payed in respect tot the transfervalue, but also age and duration now have a bigger effect. - not only underpayment but also (serious) overpayment will result in a lower mood ! - victories/jerseys earned in the last year (52 actual weeks) will raise the mood. - extra moodpoints for bonusses promissed (including wage increase/number of races) can be scored. - mood changes after a contract negotiation will disappear to prevent the kind of abuse we witnessed in the past ! So I only just finished a simulation and was surprised how high some wages are (I already knew the lows). One cyclist even managed to score a negative mood by paying almost 10 times the normal wage ! (There is a correction afterwards to keep it in our boundaries, but still). People in this position should break contracts asap. P.S. : The requested wage by the cyclists also has been lowered to give people a better negotiation position. We now have an explenation about new mood on peloton site - announcements first question: - victories/jerseys earned in the last (physical) year will raise the mood. What is a physical year, srry to ask (is it past season, this season?)

and another question
TIP : roughly speaking 1% of the transfervalue is considered a normal wage, the best moods (without bonuspoints) can be reached somewhere between 2 to 3 %, if you pay 4% or more you are actually scoring a lowerr mood.
I've checked a few of my riders and none have the 1% of there TV, so according to the text above they will not have a good mood. OK but if they would have at least 1% of their TV the team would be very expensive. This way rich teams can pay enough wage to rase the mood and poor teams can not.
Maybe do something about the calbulation of the TV? make the TV much lower?

What is a physical year, srry to ask (is it past season, this season?) I added the word "physical" to make clear it has nothing to do with the "fictional" years we also call seasons. Guess I did not succeed in that To answer your question , no ... it is a "real world" year (which normally means about 3 peloton-seasons)

It was also my intention while working on this to have a different (and in most cases lower) transfervalue but I think we must postpone that to next season. And do not worry too much about the 1% : duration, age, bonuses, trophys also make up for a big part. I just checked and the average new mood of your current cyclists would be 68.5 which is slightly higher then average (65)

I checked a few recent contracts, and they are way above the 1% So the ones I checked have had a lot of TV extra since the last contract negotiation I guess then the 2 to 3% for a better mood is correct; srry for jumping to conclusions to early

Question about - victories/jerseys earned in the last (physical) year will raise the mood. Does this mean that if my rider wins the Tour de France on november 17th that this will have effect on his mood until november 17th 2022? In my interpretation: the rider gains x mood points on november 17th of 2021 for winning the Tour and he loses those on november 17th 2022.

it is calculated in days, 364 days to be precise. and do not forget the update is weekly so if the update was on the 15th your victory could count until the 22th.

sorry but probable i understand very difficult.
1. mood will be recalculated weekly, after the sunday-update ! 2. The requested wage by the cyclists also has been lowered to give people a better negotiation position.
for what to renegociate contracts if the mood will be recalculated weekly?

the weekly recalculation is because the rider that for example wins a stage, his mood then will be slightly higher than the week before

what jerseys counts?
time, points and mountain?
or also young jersey?
what about Best teams ? if your team finish 1 in France, for example, will have an influence on mood?

New question. Every week mood is recalculated. Two factors are age and duration have effect as well. Is the relationship negative for age (older means lower mood) and positive for duration (longer duration left higher mood)? And since every 16 weeks the age increases and each week the duration decreases the contribution of these two factors has affect on mood on a weekly basis?

Race wins, GC (time), points, mountain and youngster (that last one is debatable). Best team not (if I am correct it is not mentioned in the cyclists history) New question. Is the relationship negative for age (older means lower mood) and positive for duration (longer duration left higher mood)? And since every 16 weeks the age increases and each week the duration decreases the contribution of these two factors has affect on mood on a weekly basis? The longer the duration the higher the wage expectations will be (this to reduce the effect of time on existing contracts). Also older cyclists have higher wage expectations then young ones. f.i. The 1% tip above is for a 26 year with a standard 45 weeks contract (and no bonusses) which would result in the average mood. Younger guys will have better moods, and older ones lower moods.
