"I am now considering to postpone it by a week to give everybody the time to take action."
What actions to take? Raise mood by giving higher salaries? I pay most wages in 1:1 already. I mostly did long term contracts. Will be very expensive to break open. The big wages seem well within the 1-2 range. Yes my riders are high maintenance.
Not sure what I should do.

If you are paying around 4% or more then break contracts, in other cases it depends.
BTW : the new mood has been applied to all active cyclists !

New question. Every week mood is recalculated. Two factors are age and duration have effect as well. Is the relationship negative for age (older means lower mood) and positive for duration (longer duration left higher mood)? And since every 16 weeks the age increases and each week the duration decreases the contribution of these two factors has affect on mood on a weekly basis? The longer the duration the higher the wage expectations will be (this to reduce the effect of time on existing contracts). Also older cyclists have higher wage expectations then young ones. Thanks for the reply! So If I give a 26 yo with TV = 1.000.000 a 45 week contract for €10.000 a week the mood will be content. Then if I do nothing but train the next 44 weeks the rider will be 28 or 29 and have a TV of 1.300.000 when the duration is still 1 week. So his age and salary then have a negative effect on his mood, but the remaining duration of 1 week in relation to his salary will have a positive effect. Is that a correct interpretation?

Many thanks Schizm, happy to see this is now implemented. The top 4 has profited from low wages/high moods for way too long. This should make it lot more equal for everyone. Thinking about the trainers that are currently paying huge wages, what happens exactly when you break a contract? What % of the transfervalue does the salary default to in that case?

Hi eboese I just tried out with two older riders. First one 38 yo ~1.523M TV. I offered him a contract for 17 weeks he wanted €13.225 Second one 37 yo ~1.550M TV. I offered him a contract for 33 weeks he wanted €14.594
Now wait until sunday to see if the mood pops...

rarau I bought the two last week. They came with a content mood, but that was lowered to ok in the mood reset, and contract of 45 weeks. Their salaries were €13.037 for the 38 yo and €14.228 for the 37 yo. So a slightly raise in salary. The new salary was the first they asked when I offered them 17 and 33 weeks respectively. I wonder if race bonuses and minimum races are going to be necessary in the future. what is their effect on mood?

Wait. Op kop de sloot in, currently the best team of the game, has the third lowest average mood? How is that possible?

Question : will the mood reset now be every season?

Question : will the mood reset now be every season? No it is recalculated weekly as a result of a formula based on wage, transfervalue, age, duration and victories over the last 52 weeks.

Question : will the mood reset now be every season? No it is recalculated weekly as a result of a formula based on wage, transfervalue, age, duration and victories over the last 52 weeks. OK ... So if I understand correctly : it is NOT necessary (like last season) to renew contracts in the last week of the season... You can now do it when a contract end in the next season...
