I voted for a restart, the reason why I prefer this is that it would also give us the possibility to reprogram other stuff that was historically grown to unjust :
-> (multi skill) trainers : having a trainer with 15+ on five or more skills should be impossible, for me the price of a single skill rider should be lowered drastically , while a 4 skill trainer should be basically unafordable. Also there should be only 6 or 7 levels : where 0 is the non (in fact minimal) training, 1-6 <= represents the current 15-20 skill
-> cyclists wages : knowing the right techniques (legal or illegal) has given some users a very big advantage over others and since the previous wage is a important factor in contract negotiations that advantage will continue even by fixing the loopholes. My proposition here is a seasonly adjustment of a cyclists wage based on scored points and mood (a multiple choice system where the lowest choices causes a mood drop and the highest a mood raise)
-> and ofcourse the training speed, which in my personal view should be a little different 27 top - 32 gradual decline - 36 retirement chance (close to) 100%. Untrained cyclists loose skill no matter what age !
P.S. : When I told EG that a restart was the fairest solution I meaned only the cyclist-roster (and possibly the trainer), everything else can/should be discussed and decided by all managers, (edit ; ofcourse with a financial compensaton for the cyclists lost and not only 18-19 year olds in the new roster !)
NEVERTHELESS, I read some interesting stuff here, therefor I am very grateful to EG, who started this thread / poll and all of those who contributed !
Based on the many usefull posts (mainly eboese and BAM, but also Bosko, pollyjean, Mike ... and many more - sorry if I did not remember you) I would like to make my own proposition : a gradual introduction where the cyclists training system is based on their age. Using the idea behind BAM's training progress table (not necessearily the exact numbers but the system) we can then the old training system for everyone aged 18-21 and 32+, for the 22-26 category we can use the new training systems, for the remaining age groups we could introduce a training compensation bonus where the aim is they can also reach there full potential in the 5 seasons after which we switch completeley to the new training system.
