Won one stage and riding the green jersey. I think it will be very difficult to maintain this jersey. There are some guys with lots of fitness left. 94%, 90%... Ngongo first and 2nd in the GC youngster tour of Austria. I hope Vits and Sotaert can do something about it.

And Vits did it. 6 times on the podium. Stage win - Time Jersey - Points Jersey - Mountain Jersey - Youngster Jersey - Team Jersey.
Now he goes to trainingscamp for a few weeks. So he'll be prepared for the WC.

Damn! A flat for Thomassin in an important phase of the race. Due to this flat he lost some places. Amazing is the result of Ripanu and Becucci. Ripanu attacked (75%) Becucci not. Becucci is better in flat but in all other skills he is lesser than Rimanu. Nevertheless Ripanu ended 22nd Becucci 20th. In the same time ok but...strange.
It will be hard to closen the gap with Luning (Cyclist Devils). But we'll try. Just hope to have a decent result in the Giro. 2nd and 3rd in GC isn't bad. And perhaps if Becucci can be 3 seconds in front of LenNouail he can become 20th.
It's a puzzle to enlist for the next tours (TdF and Vuelta) followed immediately by the WC. Perhaps next season the calender can be changed...2 updates between Vuelta and WC? Just a suggestion, not criticism Ab Normaal. It gives every team manager the chance to get good results in the Vuelta and in the WC without being desadvantaged by fitness trainers.
Within 2 hours we'll know the final results of the Giro. Wish you all good results.

First big tour of the season is over. Congratz for Ngongo and Cyclist Devils for their jerseys and wins. I'm happy with 2nd and 3rd place in GC Giro. But unhappy for the GC in the jerseys. Not in top 10. Becucci has won more than 3 seconds on Le Nouail, unfortunatley he lost time on some other cyclists and didn't achieve to finish top 20. But I'm sure he will win a race one day...if not this season it will be another season. Passed the 3M points border and had finally a good financial week, mostly because of the fantastic Oberosterreicher tour for the youngsters.

Tour of Austria 1st stage: Waw great! Forgot to increase the effort of Gama. Attacked on 75% effort in stead of 100%. Duh! Tour of Austria 2nd stage: Waw great! Lezzani attacked 4 times on 75% effort. Did not increase the effort. And he won! Duh! The goal of 15 victories reached. So why not make it 20. And 4158 points in the Div ranking (1 point more than last season) Tour of Austria 3rd stage: Did increase the effort where needed/wanted. Only 2 attacking points. This is going to be a 'agressive' stage/ Lots of attacks. Waiting for the results now. I thought this would be a tour without wins or any classement at all. So this tour is already a succes. Still figuring out the tactics for the Criterium du Dauphiné Libéré. Looking for at least 1 victory. It's a puzzle for the Vuelta and the WC. And counting backwards from the WC it's a puzzle in any stage now. Who, when, what effort, attack or not attack, are the contract renewals going to be positive - if not Vuelta and WC are going to be in danger, 2 TT WC something for Le Nouail? Or should I try to conquer this one,... Some tough decisions to make..

Hi Chakra,
I was slightly disappointed at my Frens result in the tour of Austria. I changed my tactics yet again going for a your win rather than sneaking stage wins. He finally finished 3rd, not bad but I thought he had a chance at grabbing it as most were keeping their best riders for the tour de France next week!
Similar thing seems to be happening again with Agoff in the CdD. currently 11th 7.27 behind but of those ahead only a coupe (one of yours) on equal or higher fitness. I guess I will be shafted again of course by those trainers who train fitness over the weekend. It seems any tour stretching over the weekend I have no chance!
I wondered about the team TT next week which historically I had done bad at in the past. My team is 9,10,8,4 and 5. Seen posted that it is an average of the top4 out of 5 riders for the group or team time? If I put TT 4 and 5 rating on 100% effort will they make up the gap? Are these values any good or will I get wiped out as before? note is a flat one and my riders are 5,7,4,4,5 (in the same order as TT) so maybe should give up and go for the stage wins? Interested in your views?
Lastly have been buying more 33 to 35 year olds to try and become more competitive. I now have 41 riders, I know too many, but looking to reduce this once I work out which ones to keep.

Well as for the CdD I made a big mistake. I thought I had a great team to win this tour, but only Grilo started the tour with only 80% fitness and attacked on 80%. I forgot to adapt my fitness table. So chance of winning the tour I can forget. Especially I set up my team for the TTT. (WC test so looking forward to that stage too) All 7+ flat, and TT avg of the team = 9. But fitness won't be 100% for them. Grilo will have 75% fitness. The others 95%. I don't train fitness. (Though I did in the Giro: shame on me).
I hope Peters will be quickly satisfied with a new contract. If not I'll have to sell him even before the WC.
The TdF I haven't made my decision yet which team to enlist. Lezzani will be leader, and Becucci will participate. So that's 2 out of 5.
It is difficult to compose decent teams from now on. Certainly with the WC right after the Vuelta, only a two week tour with 2 times 5 stages) and with a lot of youngsters now in my team and a few elder (better) ones. For the Vuelta it is impossible to come out at 100% without saving fitness or training fitness. I intend to use only the fitness saving.
Sorry to cross your intentions to win with Frens. I didn't expect to win with Lezzani. He attacked 4 times with 75%. Due to my young leader he couldn't go for a 5th attack. But Lezzani is a fantastic cyclist. I hope to see him pop this week in flat (up to 16). Seems to take some time to pop now. I hope he will soon pop in some other skill too. Perhaps mountain to 8.
Becucci is talented flatter too, but he lacks other skills. Especially mountain, downhill and sprint. But I guess with good tactics he will have a good result in the TdF and who knows why not win a stage.
41 cyclists is really much. I hope you make the right choice in talented cyclists and you can sell the others for some decent money.
As for my training scedule I try to train all skills up to 7 and look out for the talent. In which I train them up. So all my 28+ yrs have for all the skills at least 7. Unfortunatley they train a bit slower since the cost for a trainer increases a lot once he passes 16 or 17 and all other skills are 15 (except fitness)
If I were you I would go for stage wins with one or two cyclists and try to reach good results in GC-tours with a third one. It's a bit pity that price money reduces so fast once you don't end in top 5 or top 10. Wish you good luck in the upcoming races.

Thanks...
some comments -
No problem beating Frens (that is the game after all). My cyclists are below par I know, so my expectations are set lower. You are right grabbing the odd stage win is the best policy for me. I have to reduce the amount of cyclists and will pick using a formula which calculates future potential i.e. skills added divided by age. That way I have some trainable cyclists for the future (if there is one for the game).
Training is a bit of a problem as I cannot afford my trainer to have more than two training skills at 15 at the present. This is highly redistricting in training individuals in specifics if they lack skills. i am training mountain and flat currently only and losing money each week however get rid of some of my cyclists will help (with training speeds and wages).
I have profiled the cyclists and picked core areas for them so looking for flat, FL/MO, Hill, TT, MO etc. This of course is difficult with the previously restrictions on training.
I have almost given up my dream of an all British team BTW.
Comments regarding grand tour tactics; leadership points are at a premium as have one leader with 15+ leadership but next one is only 5. So to go for stage wins x 2 and GC can be difficult. Also without fitness training one stage win attempt (even with save fitness) at 100% is only possible per cyclist in three weeks tour. I noticed the dramatic slide in wages from 5 to 10 places too. This is part of my manifesto to change the game but that maybe be irrelevant if the game goes ref. front page comments dated May 18th.
Regards Andy

It was a shock reading the game could be in a final stage and would vanish from the net. But let us keep positive and hope for a good solution. Today's TTT was good. Did not win, but my team kept some reserve for tomorrow. Lost only 45 seconds. Happy with that.

Second stage of TdW: victory (2 out of 3)
Peters can not win the TdW: too high in the bonus. So he'll go safe or 70%.
Guess I won't win all 3 stages and will end up with only the team jersey.

And Peters did not win the TdW. Ouf! He grabbed the mountain jersey though. Hugh bonus. Damned, what was I thinking when I renewed his contract?!
Nevertheless a positive week. 3 victories and a jersey. Good! One stage win to go for the 20 victories goal.
But it seems one can not sell a cyclist at a decent price. Tommy van Oevelen 3rd time on TL. (1500 - 750 and now for 500$) no buyer yet. For those who are intrested; 21yrs - 7 flat (with bit of talent 7.36 after 3 trg with a flat 15 trainer). If he's not sold now I'll keep him.
Looking forward to the TdF. (Damned my youngster collided with a motard and fell on his head. I hope the motard's head is not injured))
