Tour of Norway. And a step closer to my next goal of 15 victories.
Cyclist Devils has forgotten to complete his list of cyclists. No leader, 1 cyclist. Or is it a new tactic to force Ngongo closing the gap between 2nd and 3rd place? He has a lot of 100% fit guys in his team, my guess he forgot.

In stead of being critical a lot. Come then with proper suggestions. And also think about the consequences of these suggestions. Just giving everybody more money by increasing sponsormoney means that people have more money to spend on transfers. If you get more salary in real life, you are going to live to that and after six months you are going to spend it all. That is exactly what is going to happen in this game. The same teams will be in financial problems again.
Also the same with a restart. Everybody knows that from 36 yo riders will decrease skill. And that is something you should take into account. Just keep continue playing untill they are worthless and then say we need a restart makes that we will have that discussion again after 18 seasons. It is a MANAGING game. That is part of managing, just like finances. Fitness training is an option this game gives. By training fitness, you'll get results on the short term, but in the long term your cyclists will not improve and others will become stronger.
I am not saying that this game cannot be improved, it can. But you'll have to think about the consequences before you start shouting things. In real life it is also a fact that you cannot spend more than there is coming in. I see a lot of teams with trainers, wages of cyclists and youthscouts they simply cannot afford. Then yo can say that it is the fault of the game, but that is too easy. A managing game is more then buying the best cyclists and putting them to the most suitable race.
So, I am happy to hear thorough improvements!

The same teams will be in financial problems again.here we are not on the same lenght my post on general topic: """""like you said only 2-3 teams per division win some money. You cannot give more money for those 3 teams and the other 9 to bankrupt. You need to give those 9 teams some money to survive -> sponsor money (is my oppinnion, i dont have power of decision ) 30 000 per week from sponsor is too few on division 2, i believe something like 100 000 or more to be better. And not many differences between divisions else De Droeftoeters will win always. i m not influenced by sponsor money , or other kind of modifications, i have enough to survive some more time on division 2 without changes in game/in my team what is difference between 30.000 and 100.000 ? Now a normal wage for a cyclist (not star) between 22-28 years is probably 10.000 $ this cyclist is not star and probably dont give you points/money with 100.000 you could afford 10 cyclists with 30.000 you could afford only 3 this is the reason that sponsor money need to raise and not supporters or prices on races because if number of supp raise then richer team become reacher. If someone have wage 600.000 $ per week like me is his problem, here i speak about team who wants to survive, who have normal wages on their cyclists."""""" peloton.proboards.com/thread/8959/showroom-post-best?page=4

Is this a personal attack to me? If sponsorship is raised, teams with lesser results will be able to survive financially. They can buy materials, they can improve their trainer and so their cyclist and so the race results. If they "waist" it on the TL then they are doomed to go bankrupt. Sounds logic to me. "Rich" teams already have a good trainer and good cyclists. Don't see on what they spend their money then. About the restart: I'm against it. About elder cyclists decreasing earlier (from 30 as someone suggested and it wasn't me): I'm against it. About cyclists with high wages: I'm against it. But what is high? My elder cyclist have wages between 20K and 25K. I have them since first or second season. Due to contract I had to pay it. Some of them I already sold or fired. Am I being critical. Perhaps. But know I have good intentions. I play this game for more than 25 seasons. So I'm bit of a die hard. But IMO my criticism are more likely propositions to help teams stay healthy and let the game be fun for everybody. It's a managing game. I agree. But it has to be fun and facing bankrupt isn't exactly fun. Is it? Or is it the difference of humor and ideas we have?

Is this a personal attack to me? No, definately not! More to managers in general who are not thinking but shouting. I know you have good intentions.

In Norway Bretto was going for GC but maybe should pushed harder in earlier more hilly stages. now may get 10th or maybe 9th. He has better fitness left than others around him but how much can be achieved on last fairly flat stage. I guess my GC guy is more like the top six Dom would be!
Chocron in Giro had to resort to going for a stage win. hopes for tomorrow on this!
I have been looking at maximising money from tours and races (dont care about points). Realized youth winner (white jersey) earns you nothing (should do in my view) and team position gets nothing too. Only GC (top 20) and stage results (top 10) get you anything plus top 10 on points and mountain. May try to get money from the points and/or mountain as not many focus on this but GC guys tend to dominate these without possibly trying to do so.

I hope you can win todays race. Thomassin is going for the attack today too on this flat hilly stage. (85%) Can't wait to see the results. As for youth and team jersey. They give you points and indirectly some money. But not a lot. Being in the top 5 of youth standings and team standings gives a small boost of supporters. I don't know how much exactly. Tried to figure out how the amount of supps are calculated for a stage, but there are too many factors to retrieve this formula. I agree with you when you say there should be a financial reward for it. AbNormaal's reaction shocked me at first, but he said it wasn't a personal attack. So no hard feelings. Though this kind of reactions should be put in a general topic not on a Div topic. And if one says 'You' one should know who one is adressing to. And the 'receiver' of the message should know he's being adressed to. I appreciate comments of the managers of other Div in our topic, but it should be positive comment, supporting comment or suggestions. Not criticism. But we can't avoid this. All this criticism makes this game unplaisant. Luckily there are some managers, like you Andy and Bartje and many others, who make this game fun.

Victorie nbr 12. Habay's 3rd so far this season. He needs a break now. Only 43% fitness left. 3 more stages in the Giro and then he can go to Caribia to get some sun, beach, girls and cocktails.... I'm jalous.
Tomorrow final of Tour of Norway. I hope to delete the last "0" on my table and take the mountain jersey. But mountains are not exactly my terrain. So let's hope for it and go for a good result. Wish you good luck and a good training this Sunday.
Meanwhile Ngongo leans back and watches the battle between ALESANA and Cyclist Devils from his seat. I'm pretty sure he can do better than what his results are now. A team to watch next season? A small gap between 1st and 2nd Div place. But Ngongo isn't that far away, it can change quickly.

I surely hope so Bart. I just hope to get my finances good enough to survive 2nd Div (again) This week a positive saldo of $52.000. Not much, but every little bit is good. Still trying to sell some cyclists. For tonight a good 21yr one and Duco will be on the TL after the evening training. Skills: 8 - 3 - 13 - 7 - 5 - 4 and Sec St/Bal 14 - 16 Exp/LS 13 - 10. Tour of Norway lead me to the mountain jersey. Finally all my "0" are gone. Now up to the Giro and the Austrian youngster tour. Trying to win some stages and some jerseys.
