My second week was pretty good I think. Won a race and a jersey.
After a weaker first week, my second week was a huge boost and I think I can avoid relegation. For next week I'm hoping to get a nice result in the last race of the Dubai tour and a good overall finish of Kettunen. As for the Algarve I set a team, but it isn't my best team, So I will see how it goes.

to be honest i was planning on quitting peloton. I'm really fed up with the lack of info that is not given to us by the builders. Anyway, now the new season has started i will set my cyclists and see where it ends:-)
as for natramn, we know his tactic. He will win probabely all the big tours where he uses the benefit of the fitness training. It's his choice, agree, but not very realistic IMO, and isnt that just what the builders try to reach?

I'm not sure realism is really possible. I think most of the changes implemented have made the game more enjoyable... but things like early attacks being the key to success aren't much more realistic then back when the same riders won every stage of the race solely based on fitness before we had attack points. It makes the simulation more interesting though. I like the complexity now and how tactical choices do have a huge impact on results. And unfortunately, fitness training IS realistic. We'd often have some teams "fitness train" on a rest day and come back like gangbusters afterwards. Of course we all know what that really was... but I can't say it's unrealistic. And it does add a level to the tactical complexity, regardless of if it's the equivalent of doping or not.

Gust van Schip (4912) from Dubai was play at fitness by Natram 63-98% but i think will not count Gust van Schip came close, but luckily for me he stranded at 16 seconds behind my rider. With this result a got a time and points jersey. Now I will be looking out for number 2...

kurtinsc, i agree with you that the simulating is more interesting, no discussion about that. But where do you draw the line, what is realism? I've heard they want to approach real life cycling as much as possible. Is that realistic, will it ever happen, can it ever happen? I doubt it. Fitness training in a TDF, come on... Invent something else i would say. Give you GC man the benefit of his helpers, let him gain some extra fitness after the update or something like that. Take it to real life. Is it possible for Froome to be at 100% fitness when they arrive in the 3rd week, after ITT and mountain stages? Again, i doubt it, at least not on a natural way:-) i've done some tour cycling myself, i know what it is like to become worse and worse every day.
They've come from far, like you said. Few seasons ago idd you had decent riders who won 9 out of 10 stages in TDF. So changed needed to be done. But IMO they havent found a good balance yet.

My first mistake of the season: I forget to change Matro Alves Pereira (who was played on last tour) with another cyclist on today tour. So i have only 3 cyclists for Algarve tour. Unexpected nice result today with a non trained cyclist bought 1 month ago.

I don't understand why I finish 2 in most of th races my sprint skill is very good The awesome part is that i have already 1000 p and i'm on first place (unexpected ) I'm happy especially for number of supporters of this week 11369 On Algarve i have the worst tactics/results from a long period of time. I'm waiting for tuesday u21 to see how my youngsters are. I hope on a place 3. I will play for points not for winning because i don't train youngsters so i don't have awesome youngsters.

I actually think the end results are fairly realistic at this point when you look at the final standings. What's not is how those results are arrived at, with early attacks rather then late ones, fitness training and no ability for sprinting teams to really force multiple final sprints. But to me that's a relatively small thing. While the strategy that most often succeeds isn't the same as what is used in real life, it's still a game that allows varied strategies to win the stages and the final results have a reasonable spread. I'm not sure I'd want it more realistic if it killed competitive balance... and some times real life cycling is horribly imbalanced.

finally i win a race today .... pffff ... Lampreia is an awesome cyclist but have low TT with steering 13 and balance 18 he have 2 flats hoping good results on general on Paris Nice even we see some favorites for this : Martijn Janmart (3496) Tours Bartje Cammaert (8768) Tours Gad Deckers (2449) The Mothers of Invention all 3 with 80% and maybe Cottin - Pegasus with 75% but he win only 11s Pierre-Olivier Verschelden - Nattram with 65% if he will be play at fitness. Like i said you could be on first 2 places on division without play at fitness Me and Tours, we dont play at fitness. Tours dont have a fitness trainer.

The season's been pretty disappointing for me so far, but I'm happy to finally get a win... even if it did come in large part due to a fall on the final section for Ingerberg.
And even though it really doesn't matter game wise... it always feels better to win a race like MSR then some random 1-day you've never heard of. To me, a monument is still a bigger deal.

Okay... maybe things are starting to turn for the better a little bit. Lacroux got a nice 3rd in the T-A, even with a disastrous TTT to start the race. That with a stage win and the youth jersey has moved me up to 7th... and any distance I can put between myself and the relegation spots is useful.
My leader for Catalunya being injured kind of sucks, but I have hopes for the races in the next couple of weeks. A lot of hills that I can hopefully take advantage of.
