In the new race engine we have taken care of this.
You can select helpers and when your best cyclist falls/flats, his helpers will bring him back to the peloton (just like in real life).

Some good suggestions by czukay and goof. I'll add them to my list.
At the moment, we're still finetuning the race report of the new RE, but I'm adding features and improvements to other parts of the game as well.
I'll wait with updating the game until the new RE and funraces are done, and then I'll do everything all at once. Not sure yet on an ETA, but let's say 2 to 3 weeks.

Will you have a situation where the helper in the same group gives up his bike to the leader after a flat, so it's the helper that gets dropped back rather than the leader? |

No, the leader gets very quickly a new wheel and the helper paddles as fast as he can to get the leader, who is in his slipstream, back in the peloton  |

That's good to hear. I got very unlucky today in the Giro too, my two most important cyclists had several flat tires and they are already a few minutes behind, and couldn't win the remaining mountain/ sprint points. Hopefully, circumstances like this will be diminished in the future. |

Presumably though there is still some disadvantage in getting flats etc., more energy expended, or perhaps missing a break out of the peloton while your guys are getting back on?
Also if the flat happens just before a sprint or mountain they'll still not be able to compete for the points surely?
Will the ability to get the guy back to the peloton not depend in some way on the relative time trialling of your helpers in relation to the peloton - with some terrain modifier in there as well?
Just kind of hoping that steering and balance will still be important in the new engine - although looking at my squad I'm not sure that it's in my best interests!

This might have been suggested before but it would be nice if the 'World' option had the same stats as each country - highest transfer, most wins etc. They're just blank at the moment.

Maybe an idea to show the jersey of the winning sprinters (points and mountain)? That way it's easier to see who's cyclists won (and you have automatically and semi-extra premiumfeature)

Probably been asked and suggested before i guess, but can't remember the answer so....why isn't there a jersey for youngsters on the page of every cyclist, next to the general-, point- and mountain jerseys?
After all it is mentioned in the history of a cyclist, only not visible on his frontpage which would be a nice add on i think.

HI IP,
another thing. I don´t know if someone already spoke about it.
I was checking teams in game and I see many teams without trainer our with bad distribution of trainer skills and perhaps other things that we don´t see.
To help the new players in game I think that should be created in game a tuturial with the Turtle mascot " Speedy". And the Turtle gives the first instructions for beginners, like:
1 steep - check team, and a link to team
2 steep - watch finances
3 steep - buy a trainer. Do you have a preference of skill? witch? so buy a trainer in that skill
4 steep - next race, see traject, choose rider and tactics
etc...
I think with this we will no loose some players that have problems in the beginning

The new RE is going to shake things up a lot so I hope that if it goes in this season you can fi it in between tours rather than in the middle of one! |
