In da pocket. quiller If Caetano would have attacked at point 1 in stage 3 to Planche des Belles Filles he would have won the Tour. I’m pretty sure about that. He is a good rider. Congratulations for your great effort and good results. Maybe… But I had to make choices… AND I did not dare to put everything on one man (points are this season too important!!!) because I had it happen more than once that my 'one man' had an injury in a grand tour...

Today was a chance for the younger ones. A 27 and a 28 y old on the podium, nice to see! I went full today with Quintal because I supposed tomorrows race would be for Rios (who might attack at 90% to be fresh again for the Vuelta). Or will someone take enough advantage in the flat beginning ? That was my original plan with Maffei, but he decided to extend his Tour de France injury this weekend...

bosko, you have your answer. Close with Rios. Even after the mountainsprints 5 seconds behind. But had a final attack in the last parts of the race. Quintana's first win ever. And just has to finish to keep MJ. Aguinaldo's PJ will be hard to defend.

Close battle today! Quintana lives up to his name and wins his first race and mountain jersey! Congrats chakra. Rios did what he could, but if Wattez (Headcase Pro Cycling) goes 100% tomorrow, he might take home the time jersey. But with Kellner, GIK team has another podium candidate.

Perot (Headcase Pro Cycling) and hopefully Delarue seem to be candidates for tomorrows win. So I think also the PJ seems safe for you. Excellent tour for ALESANA!

That would be nice if PJ went to my team too. Only one of the possible "pointers" with more than 60% left is Veldman. 64%. (Same tactic as Quintana?) So who knows... First jerseys this season for my team. I need the points too to avoid relegation, but with the youngster programme Tossboom has a lot of points coming his way. My goals for the Artic Tour were good ranking in the three stages. And hopefully a win with Quintana. (Top 5 would already have been great) He is not a mountaineer, you know. Though you would think if you only see the results of today. Rios is far far better. If he attacked with 5% more he surely would have won the stage today. So glad I could take him off.

2 minutes down is a lot. I assume Rios will attack at 75%, but still attack. It will be hard to beat him. Most unfortunate of all is that the 2 minutes are mostly due to a Fall in stage 1 and a flat in stage 2. Hopefully he will stay on his bike in stage 3. But that is the risk when Steering/balance is 6/11.

'Quintana, that creep can roll' Congratulations to chakra and angelogik and tossboom for winning the jerseys in Norway! Chakra even won two jerseys, that might be handy, because it's cold in the Arctic right now.

1 day and my Vuelta is over. Delanoy injured, Beaupr fell in first downhill... Losing Delanoy is a bummer, but at the bright side: he'll be recovered already next week, so you might use him in one of the Grand Prix? About Beaupr: I wouldn't be say it's over... 1) still 9 races to go (that's a lot) 2) every youngster will have a fall one of those races 3) lots of mountain to come and we know Beaupr loves that About yesterday: I was a bit surprised no one went for the stage. Rios already in the timejersey at day 1, but Renuart tries to follow him. As my oldies are really below average when it comes to mountain, I've put 4 youngsters to go for a good youth classification.
