Another season in this fun division
We welcome
- Low Budget Cycling who was runner up in div 3:1 last season. If he only had 15 points less, he would have been 4th! That was a tight finish over there. - En Danseuse who relegated from Top Division as 11th. They were in 1:1 for three consecutive seasons, an impressive achievement. - De Rode Lantaarn who was runner up in 3:2 last season. Second time in Division 2. Let's hope for him he won't be carrying the red lantern in this season. - Quiller Boys. Welcome back! He won Division 3:3 impressively after relegating in season 22 from 2:1 - Tossboom. ... Words to introduce him are not necessary: 4 times runner up in 1:1. But what will his ambitions be this season? - ALESANA. Winner of 3:4 by an impressive margin to Tours.Cycle.Club. But his top scorer retired this season. Will he get over it?
Good luck to you all, I'm looking forward to this season. Don't fear us anymore in Mountain TT's, because Ricardo Castelo Branco retired

Hi everyone, thank you! Not sure if I can already compete in div 2, probably not. My main focus is training, let's see if I can do something in U25 or U20 races.

Hello you there, good to be back in 2:1. I'm back for the x-the time, I stopped counting promoting to 2nd and relegating to 3rd. Some fellows are familiar. Vroompie, Jopie and SpartaB (season 12 and 13 I was here) Some other season in 2:2. Sorry, not my fault. My top cyclist indeed retired. (Damned, I should have sold him) And yes I will overcome it, I have an equal cyclist ready with a little less flat, but a little bit more TT and sprint. My goals in this season, is ending top 8. So currently I'm 9th, not a good position. And survive financially. End in each stage in top 50. I promoted cause some of the teams loved to use their brakes in the downhill parts and climbed the uphill parts on foot. Wish you all good luck and a very active forum.

Hey again all, I'll try to be more active on the forum this season, but I probably say that every year! I do need to update my avatar pic as that's my old team name and I've had this new one for ages now... I had a good end to last season so hoping I can improve on the 7th I finished but not sure it's realistic. Team updates over the offseason: One retirement - Corbin who I only picked up last season anyway. He was a flat-allroundish sprinter and it does leave a small gap in my squad. u25s - I had two good 25y olds last season who got me some points, and this year 0 25y olds. I've got one flat, one mountain and one allaround 24y old though so if I pick the right tour maybe they can win something but likely not as many. u21s - 4 21y olds currently. 3 with 21 skill points and 1 with 20. I don't think they're elite though. I haven't checked whether the profiles of the u21 races fit any of them yet. Leader - I'm trying to move on from Milea (9 LS at 22) to Portugal (6 LS at 21). It's a downgrade but a necessary one longterm. 6 LS is about the minimum you can get away with I think, but is still limiting. Good luck all. Hope to see 60 riders starting in all races

A preview as I scouted all teams yesterday: - The average we spend on our trainer is 350k. Tossboom has the most expensive trainer I think I've ever seen - 711k! En Danseuse at the other end at only 204k. - Only 2 teams with some fitness training ability (GIK team with a 15 and Quiller boys 12) - Only 3 teams have youthscouts (Headcase Pro Cycling, GIK and Quiller). All at a very similar level. Ages of cyclists (I didn't include anyone transfer listed, assuming they'd be sold): 38+, 2 36-37, 7 34-35, 20 32-33, 26 30-31, 20 28-29, 25 26-27, 55 24-25, 50 22-23, 60 u21, 75 So we all seem to tend pretty young these days A few strengths and weaknesses: - No team has more than 2 over 36y olds. - DeRodeLantaarn and Headcase Pro cycling each have 5 at 34 or over. - Tossboom only has riders under 27. - Low Budget Cycling don't have anyone older than 31. - If we assume 26-27 and 22-23 are the most useless cyclists from a point winning perspective: En Danseuse have the most of these at 17, followed by WC VroOom at 14 and Tossboom at 13. I actually have the least with 4 - Me and GIK both have the most under 21s with 10, WC VroOom only have 1. I have no idea if any of that is interesting! I haven't analysed individual cyclists and their points last season so this is largely guesswork, but a prediction: Tossboom 12th, Low Budget Cycling and ALESANA in 10th and 11th in some order. Everyone else competes for 9th and above as honestly I have no idea...it should be pretty open and exciting!

Good luck everyone this season! If it will be the red latern or a little above I don't know but I will have to give everything to make it in this division. So I will try.

Hi all! With 17 "most useless cyclists" I don't expect to be competitive this season. Maybe I will get some white jerseys.

I promoted cause some of the teams loved to use their brakes in the downhill parts and climbed the uphill parts on foot. I tried it too, but hit the brakes too late and got promoted anyway, but I think that another season in div 3 would have been better.

Welcome to all!
I don't have high expectations. First 2 weeks I don't have much time, so I quickly fill in some names. Also my best cyclist retiring (thought he was only 35???) is really a bummer I didn't take in account.
I hope we can have a close and interesting season. Good luck to all!

hi guys, welcome. I know a few new faces, have talked with chakra before, quiller is a familiar face and Dan has also been in my league before. Glad to have you back guys Chakra, i have been following you since our battle in 2.2. Sad to see van gunst leave the game, I was curious to see what he could do in 2.1. Poekie, Toss and DRL ring a bell, but we havent met before I guess? You guys will add massive experience to this league. Punkska, thnx for the stats btw. Nice overview. I'm glad to see that there are not many fitness trainers. Gik uses it only on his older cyclists in tours, and quiller doesn't use it anymore I think? correct me if i'm wrong.
I will be an exciting season. No real favorite for me. My team is rather young, don't see me fighting for promotion, but that depends also on the opponents. Joop, Sparta, headcase, Punkska, Gik, they all have good riders who can win stages. Question will be to see who has the most balanced and experienced squad, able to score week after week. Unfortunately I noticed Cormier leaving as well. He's also a victim of the brutal update. Hopefully bosky can cope with that?. Anyone else lost someone?

Good luck guys. My youngsters are not ready yet for wins ofcourse so I'll just race for the XP in the single day races and go for youngster jerseys in the stages, allthough my best under 25's are only 24. But we'll see what happens.
