Hope to hear everyone's goals, bets.
Personal goal: If I look at my past 4 seasons I should end up 3th again, but I don't think that would be realistic. Therefore I'll be happy with position 6 (= top half of the division).
Favourites for promotion: Very hard to predict... My bets: - WCVroom (Well balanced team with 30-35 year olds who will be getting stronger) - Semtex (Some "delighted" 30+ year olds who can get him lots of points)

Hi all, Thx for opening this thread. Allway's nice to talk about our division. I see you predict promotion for my team bosco That would be surprising.. I have no clue where my team will end in this division but we will do our best that's for certain. Good luck to all teams, may this be an exciting new season.

Hmm This will be an impossible season for me. Pietrok will not be good enough anymore… Renuart and Caetano might need another season before they can really compete... Avoiding relegation is almost impossible for my team. That being said : good luck to all!!! And it is nice to see that there is one in this division that i know 'from the very beginning of peleton (hello semtex)

Surprised to see that my team is one of your favorites Bosko, but i doubt that i can make it true. First of all, i dont want to:) i have been in 1.1, that is sufficient for me. I have more fun in 2nd where i can win a race every now and then. The difference with DIV 1 is so big. Watch Groenenhoek this season, i am afraid that he will get slammed. Second, my upcoming riders are still not strong enough. I expected them to be closer last season. Was kind of a disapointment to see where they ended in some races. Maybe and hopefully this gets better so i can close the gap with the top guys. Therefore i am glad that my big 3 are still there. They will provide me enough points to ride a solid season. So i am aiming again for that #3 spot, but actually it doesnt matter to me
Who are my favorites? Well semtex for sure. Cavaco and mihnea will win tons of points in the tours. Most of us know their stats, and they are only getting better. Depriming:) Especially mihnea. I wanted him in my team but was too late for the sale:s I also expect something from Bolt and Crusaders. Helder will probabely win the youngster jerseys and curious to see how good sikkes and chitul still are. I assume they will decrease very fast now. MOI, i know him from 2.2. Solid team. Every season he gets his wins, not the abosolute top cyclists, but very decent. And headcase, maybe this season a TT face to face (baumann - branco?). Still have to check the full calender. I wonder how good Joop, quiller and Bardet are. Dont know their teams very good. I have read that bardet uses a lot of fitness training on his riders. At least he did in div3 so i assume he will do the same in div2. Depends on what this guys their plans are. At this moment Joop’s team gives me the best impression
Good luck all

Hi guys, back in div 2.1 after a disapointed season in div 1. I have very good memories from this division, at least here I won and I hope I can start winning again some stages. Its always nice to find ex riders and see that they can compete, Egas Clementino(ggod Gc rider) and Dodos(good sprinter) from team WC Vrooom my main lider from the start with 18y still here Pequeno(great leader, flat and TT rider) and also Loest(good alround and TT) in the team Streetfighters, Patricio Abreu with 32y still didn't found his space for wins, this one was one of my best mountain riders in training lets see if he keepped growing, Timoteo Quintal already with 30y from SpartaB and a tallented rider that retired this season Stroh, Krusaders with bad luck since he paie about 4 millions for him. About my objectives, 1st of all I want a stage win, I'm hunger for a stage and Picollo Lombardia could be the one but don't know well the U21 riders so need to search from last season results. I have a very good classic rider and a good GC one without fitness trainer so they are my real hopes this season, I have a new shinning Aussie to follow the steps off my best rider Naz but still learning. Seems the new boss in town will be Cavaco from Semtex I been following his performances but he have to deal with older riders so lets see. For me Mother of Invention will be one of the best, I already know his riders from last season and he have very good riders for all kind of terrains. Bolt Thrower have ex-Schizm squad so another team that will do great. Some very good riders like Clementino, Sikkes, Chitul, Guiggi, Pietrok are getting old so new opportunities will come for others. I predict a very good fight in ITT between Mother of Invention and Semtex. Mother lost the rider that gave him the only win in div 1, Tourneux but have others. I miss my Tirlea here, but a new one is comming , top 10 will be good for now. In flat the best one is for sale with 40y, Pequeno and Chitul are getting old so really don't know. In hill I hope this will be my season with Straub, Sikkes is still the one but I hope I can have a real chance even that my rider didn't had results, also want to see the fight with Carnea that already have a nice result in Strade Bianchi. For mountain like I said Cavaco seems the one, so I just have to set my best mountain rider for other races, cannot compete for now, only older riders can do it or not. Downhill no clue Sprint Corlenio the rest don't know. If I said something wrong fell free to correct. Good luck and have fun

Welcome to all newcomers. I'm thrilled to compete against you. SOme interesting names in this league. Hopefully I will not relegate. It might get as close as last season when positions 3 to 8 finished within 470 points. bosko already named my main men. The U21 generation that was on fire last season is 22 yo now and the old men Cosmescu and De Lima will not end in a top 10 anymore so they will be sold. For De Lima that marks the end of an era. He was with me since I started in season 7.

Tactics are set for the first 2 weeks. First tour: Tour de San LuisSeMTeX: L. A. Sintra 1. L. Doucet 2. L. Lindenbaum 3. J. Wouters 4. S. Luca Nothing special in my team; gonna take it easy in the beginning Doucet is my man here, but he's not fully developped yet, he's getting there (29y old) I see that there are 4 teams who subscribed untill now. Good luck. p.s. parden my English (probably a lot of spelling mistakes, can't bother to check)

Well, of course Team Bolt Thrower is ready to compete, too! I lost some of my oldies and really gladly would spend some millions for 2-3 new top cyclists ... but not so many top cyclists for sale at the moment and it is so difficult with our bidding system anyway.
As it is I only have 2-3 cyclists who could go for wins. Maybe I have some U21 cyclists who could at least earn some podium results. Goal for this season of course is to avoid demotion.
Fellow Div 2.1 managers: Have fun with the coming season!

Haha a win in my 1st stage this season After a frustrating season in div 1 without a win is always nice to start a new season winning. No 1st generation rider won today in div 1 or 2 so welcome to the new thirty's

Grilo lost a minute compared to the pack because of a fall in the very last part. But I must admit I was hoping he would take some time today like Van Gend (tomorrow doesn't suite him), so the Youth Jersey apparently wasn't a realistic goal. Still hoping for my other 2 goals, although Sikkes will lose some time tomorrow... ElGringo: Congrats, already 1 achievement accomplished. But who was your GC guy? Tomorrow some mountains, so I'm expecting Dodos (WCVroOom) to win. Guiggi (Bolt Thrower), Pettini (Crusaders) and Coquet (Cycling Joop Zoetemelk) could also try something. Someone else with plans?

argh bosko, i predicted an all inn for sikkes today, that's why I kept Niculaie on save fitness? Damn, would have been interesting to see the difference with Strauss Tomorrow Dodos will try to win it, although it's is not 100% his course. Youth jersey is still open I guess, tomorrow lots of flat and downhill parts. Not really interested in the GC at the moment, we will see after tomorrow
Congrats strauss btw.
