Welcome Breschel. Auwch! That is not so good. I had a financial bancrupcy upcoming too. Sold some younger ones and this will keep me save for a few weeks. But the chance is real I'll have to sell some more. Perhaps Callens and Roland. I hope you"ll survive those hugh wages. BJA did not subscribe the E3 Prijs. His cyclists are really tired. Could have participated though with 2 fit cyclists and a couple at 70%. As my Nappier did. He'll compete at Tirreno. At least we're with three managers of our Div now. Glad to see you both on this topic.

Damned, 2nd. What happened with Mr Andy Wheelnut? Forgot to subscribe Milano-Sanremo? Hi Leo, Well done on GC victory! I am struggling at the mo as the terrain is too flat for my riders plus my top 4 GC guys all need a couple of weeks to recover. I desperately need a win as well into the red and will go bankrupted soon. Excellent result in the u21 race today for you, mine again was disappointing. It seems this game is a time served game I.e. Those at the start of the game have a major advantage. It is winner takes all so unless you can get in the top four you scratching around for scraps. Shame the game is so unbalanced. I am not sure if I am going to slip out of the game due to no money or sell my best riders get demoted and start again?

Hey everyone! I used to be a very active member as well (maybe not that much on the forum), but my dramatic financial position due to my horrible wages policy led me to this situation where I am left with six old riders We'll see whether I succeed in avoiding relegation or bankruptcy, but I wish you all the best nevertheless! Welcome, we are three now!

I put for sale today 9 of my riders to try and stay solvent.
Another disappointment today only came 6th with my best cyclist! Although the terrain did not particularly suit him. He is BTW on sale too!

I really do hope you have a good sale. Unfortunately, I'm struggling too with finances and have more than suffficient cyclists.
As I look to our Div I guess there are other teams trying to survive the financial bankrupcy. Guess the financial wins in 3rd Div are to smal to make a real progress.
Certainly when not all the team are subscribing the races. And those who win all the times make it harder for the others. KKind of unbalance in the Div, in the financial situations... :-(

You pay too much for wages, wheelnut. As you noticed by now, Branstad is not that good, so it's unlikely he is worth 40k a week (640k a season) in price money and supporters... good that you dump him.

I am targeting single races now in the hope the big guys rest their riders for the tours.
there are some favourable races (i.e. not flat) and stages for my riders that I might have a chance of a top three.
sold my top two GC guys so looking at my riders to pick put any that can do something.
It is a case of 'scraps' but need those for money and points to survive. I am even contemplating purposefully being relegated to come back stronger in a couple of seasons with hopefully more money too.

Hi fellow managers, I'm sorry things are pretty lopsided up to this point in the season. I also think a more competitive division is more interesting. Of course my best riders have weaknesses as well. You guys are sure to discover them . ACosteau

Hello Mr ACosteau. Welcome on the forum. Well, you're doing great in 2nd Div. It's hard to beat you or BJA. But you know when we do we are twice as happy. It's a bit like cylcing cross. Cycling for 3rd place after Vandepoel and Wouters. Here it is cycling after BJA and C@isse. It's amazing how the two teams coming from 4th Div take the lead in the GC. And tomorrow breaking the barrier of the 2000 points? I don't have any problem with that. I'm running for 3rd or 4th place. Today I sacrificed Lezzani. I wanted to save him for the Giro. But I gambled to win Parigi-Roubaix. Guess Fedetto and Schulze are better flat cyclists than he is. I have to recalculate the Giro now. Amstel Gold and La flêche Wallonne won't be races for me. Neither will be the Trentino Tour. My better cyclists need a break.

Of course my best riders have weaknesses as well. You guys are sure to discover them . ACosteau Acosteau...you are the source of all my woes ;-) welcome too our little discussion! I am really struggling this season and may not survive but hey that's the game. I will not go down without a fight and will enjoy it on the way. 5th Today in the amstel, I had high hopes with Agoff who is high skill in the hill but lacking in other areas. not so good tomorrow, Jarding will struggle to get in the top 10 even at 100% effort. Not sure on my Giro tactics. My top riders are miles away from the rest of the best so may end up sneaking the odd stage or trying to hoover up points on sprints or polka dot jersey.

Roland attacked yes, but I saved him anyway for the Giro. 5 attacks @ 85% effort. Prooves he's an allrounder. Financially it would have been better he finished 2nd. Had to give him a huge win bonus. But I don't complain

And Polhill takes his first stage win this season. Another "0" wiped out of the table.
Congratz Andy. Feels good, not?
BJA closing the gap with c@aisse. Only 8 points the difference. It's really tight now. Will he take the lead after this week? After the first 5 stages of the Giro? Keep following!
