Trentino was nevertheless a good tour. Lost the youth jersey in favor of Polhill. I knew he has some fine youngsters. And won the mountain jersey. Never thought Ripanu would do that. He's not a mountain neither a hill specialist. Sorry to disappoint Breschel there. Or not , perhaps just a little. Need to think about the Giro tactics now. Going for the youngster jersey, at least 1 stage win, and a good GC.

And Polhill takes his first stage win this season. Another "0" wiped out of the table. Congratz Andy. Feels good, not? BJA closing the gap with c@aisse. Only 8 points the difference. It's really tight now. Will he take the lead after this week? After the first 5 stages of the Giro? Keep following! Yes Kimbal did well but seriously compromised my giro chances by going for this race. I felt my best chance of a victory was before a big tour where all were protecting their GC guys. Now have a couple of lean weeks while giro takes place. Have a very weak team for the giro but helps you other guys with prize money!

1 goal out of 3 acomplished. Stage win at the Giro. With the Time Jersey and Mountain Jersey on top.
But Thomassin and Nappier went 100%. So they'll end up low in the GC. Surely other teams will use the fitness training for the next 2 updates.
Tomorrow ITT. Shall we say Congratz for Le Nouail (TT specialist) of the Flying Toad Team. Seems he's nevertheless worried. He stil has 98% fitness left.

Le Nouail just made the podium on 3rd place, with 93% left. I'm surprised. A new tactical play for the Flying Toad Team?
Silver Back's Miclini was furious today and ran like a madman to the teams first victory this season. Congratz Mich.
Breschel a nice 2nd place.

Damn. My youngster Funke will not win the Youth Jersey. He collided with a motard and fell on his head. He'll be out for 3 weeks with a severe headache.
This event makes a mess of my trainingscedule for him. Though Mehserle from Polhill lost 4 minutes on Funke, he now has only to finish in Margherita di Savoia. Best of luck Polhill.
And again a nice win of Silver Back!! Congratz!!

5th victory. BJA has some amazing cyclists. Schulze and Vandekerckhove finished 3rd and 4th with 90% fitness left.
Bremseth lacks mountain and downhill I suppose, but he's better at the flat parts. Guess a 15+ flatter.
Meanwhile in the GC Div standindgs:
C@aisse and BJA are clearly in the lead. No doubt they will promote. Question remains who will end first. Only 7 points the difference. My team is good for a 3rd place. 600 point behind BJA and 600 points in front of nbr 4 Breschel who is fighting with Polhill for the 4th spot. No more then 4 points the difference. Polhill, the Flying Toads and Ngogo close the top 8 on the save spots. Silver Back is working his team up another good score today. But still 150 points to go for a safe spot in the GC. But Ngogo and Flying Toad Team will defend their places in the top 8. St Etienne is struggling too for a safe spot. 9th place with 20 points in front of the Gorilla's (Silver Back) bbwariors will surely end 11th and is doomed to relegate.
So actually there is not much excitement in this Div. Promotion teams are known, and a little fight for the non-relegation places.
For those who read this Happy Holidays. Only 4 nights to close this terrorfull year. Wish you all the best in 2017.

Yes now my youngster only needs to finish giro to get white jersey! Not sure what points/money that brings however?
Rest of my giro team are on their knees even after fitness update on Sunday. They are all down in GC due to chasing stage wins. This was always going to be the case as compromised selection due grabbing opportunities with others fielding weakened teams due to Giro. This is my best bet to survive, it's a money game now.
Dropped a clanger today and did not field a Swiss tour team. Many GC guys were less than 100 percent fitness in any case.
I have some chances in some u21 races coming up. I have five now but only one with leadership 2. None outstanding with lots of zeros in core skills.
On grand tours I might try a different tactic for TDF, watch this space!
In the red last two updates on the week and now overall 300k in the red. Unless I change this and start to get positive weeks will go bankrupt very soon. Not sure selling cyclists will help either? Could try and sell some and buy some cheap but this will just weaken my chances of winning anything.

Best teams (best average time of 3 best cyclists) Best young cyclist (best overall time for cyclists under 21) Pos Points (division) 1. 30 2. 20 3. 10 4. 5 5. 3
So only points no money I'm afraid

Youngster jersey doesn't give any money at all. Correct what Mike said. (Friend of mine) I think it does deliver some extra supporters, so indirectly some money.
About the youngster stages, I've got no idea what mine will do. First pull of my youngster was one with LS 3, imagine I was very Lucky and happy with that. Looking forward to this stage. And next week the U21 tour.
The Romandic stage was again good for me. Callens surprised me with a 7th place. And we celebrate with the team. He had his 5th flat tire in his entire carreer. I've got him in my team since the first season. Competed over 250 stages. Not bad I'ld say. He knows how to avoid nails and thumbtacks. Unfortunately he is 35 now and within 5 weeks I must provide a new contract or sell him.
Any good bid will be considered.
Andy I hope you can survive this difficult financial period.

Thx guys...
That is no good then, need money more than points at the moment.
Surely if it is a U21 race or tour then it must be different otherwise I am deep trouble.
I am only 100k off going bankrupt.

Just as in Volta ao Algarve Callens is the black beast for Cartier and vice versa.
Both tours: * Cartier took mountain jersey - Callens 2nd (1 mountain short) * Callens time and points jersey * Cartier won a stage * Callens won a stage
Should have taken Clitus for the youngster jersey. But hence Vits did good. Though he got injured for 1 week. (Stuck his finger in his front wheel) How stupid can one be?!
Slowly closing the gap on BJA and enlarging on Pegasus. Just hope I can hold this 3rd spot in the GC Div and stay financial healthy. At least for the coming 2 weeks as my trainer skills will downsize.
Comparing my team and BJA's I must admit he has better cyclists. Or perhaps his tactics are better.
Next two stages of Giro will be sightseeing for my team. Got no big expectations.

Looks like the end for me...had to put my best riders for sale after I realised I could not buy any more merchandise due to debt.
If I survive Sunday's update then my team will not be in a state to challenge much for the rest of the season.
Where I sit in the division it might be worth me letting the team slip a couple more placings in the standings to get relegation and hopefully next season some money!
Glad you are doing well Alesana

Damn, we'll miss you!! I don't have the money to support you else I would have. Though I win some stages and have satisfying results I too have financial issues. Weekly loss between 40 and 200 K. I hope this week my trainer skill decreases in flat from 19 to 15. That will be a good thing. Will we see you again if you're bankrupt with another team? Hope you will subscribe with another team. Wish you all the best Andy.

I hope this week my trainer skill decreases in flat from 19 to 15. That will be a good thing. from wiki A trainer has 18 flat, 20 mountain and 15 fitness. All three skills will now be taken into account, because fitness is within a range of 5 skill points. If flat is lowered, it will be lowered with only 3 points as a skill can't be lowered under 15. peloton.wikidot.com/training
