davyduck: Big congrats with the well deserved title! Apparently, you only needed one leg, you'll surely need the other one next season 😉. Good luck in div 1.1! Zberg: Congrats and good luck in div 1.1, for you a well known division. @all other players: I think it was a fun season with many great opponents. Thanx to all!

Season ends with a bummer for towerriders ... In the last stage Hobai was in perfect position to take the GC. But a fall in the beginning of the race ruined his chances.
Totally ready for one year of financial damage control in div. 1:1, and next season I will be back in second! From that season off only with my own youth riders, and without oldies. Looking forward to that!!
Thanks all for the company during this difficult and strange season. And thanks for letting me win on 1 leg. The other leg must be ready for div. 1:1 while the tired leg is resting. In S19 i'll use both legs

Who will come to division 2:1?We have the next possible teams for division 2:1 next season... Possible teams from 1:1 (2 teams of these 4 come to division 2:1)- Gonzalez - closely 9th in 1:1 with a strong team
- J.M. Jimenez - has a small team of youngsters
- Rats - has no manager
- GSc - has a small team of youngsters
I'm allways pro competition, so I would rather not have Rats, but the comes the question whether we want to promote next season, because I think Gonzalez will rule division 2...Possible teams from 3th division (2 teams of these 8 teams come to division 2:1)- 3:1: ALESANA - 5606 points
- 3:1: Ngogo United - 4646 points
- 3:2: By the way - 6445 points
- 3:2: dirks toppers - 5669 points
- 3:3: KS Crusaders - 6931 points
- 3:3: Bergtoppers - 6758 points
- 3:4: R Antwerp FC - 6002 points
- 3:4: Hennerie - 4947 points
When we only look at the points, Ngogo and Hennerie would be the easiest teams, but can we now the strenth of the team by his points? After this season we surely know that we don't have to underestimate the teams from 3th divison (look at towerriders with his one leg )Does anyone has experience with one of these teams? I have been too long in 2:1 to know very much other teams

Last year I raced against Antwerp en hennerie.
Antwerp is difficult to judge. He bought several new riders. 11 of his riders are aged 36 or more. I noticed he sold a lot of uniskilled riders. That was possibly the reason why he did not so good when we were together in 3:4. I notice he has got a heavy-weight-salary-team. I hope he will manage that in time.
Hennerie got with Veland, Boivin and Capdeville three absolute topriders in his squad. But he did more then once some crazy tactical moves, so that he didn't win races he always should have won. So if he learns to play the game better, Hennerie could be a danger. Apart from Capdeville, his salary stack seems okay. So if he could reinforce a bit, he could aim for promomtion.
Talking about reinforcing ... I'm selling Georghiu Hobai. He ended last season 13 times on the podium. I have no idea why nobody bidded on him! During the first 5 weeks of this season he took 480k of prizemoney. (rest of the season I neglected my statistics). Such a worthy cyclist! I'll put him back on TL tonight.

Neo, do I feel a sense of fear? My team, ALESANA, was in 2:1 in season 12. (Long time ago) First then was Zapardiel with 21 wins and 4361 points Second WC Bloedzak with 19 wins and 4139 points 3rd J.M. Jiménez with 13 wins and 3227 points You were a newcomer from 3:1 and ended up 4th with 3 wins, 6TT, 3PT, 0 MJ and 3 YJ. And 3065 points. I ended up 8th with 7 victories, 1TT, 2MJ and 1 YJ. And 2157 points. But that was a long time ago. In season 16 I had to fight against BJA Cycling team. I've been several times in 2nd Div but just to enter the Div strugling to survive financially and go back to 3rd Div. Once succeeded to stay in 2nd for 2 seasons. Since my team is aging I worked last season on my team. The oldies are more like all rounders with no real exceptional talents. And several youngsters 18 up to 20. I've got not much of cyclist between 23 and 27. So, my goal next season is to stay alive and hopefully survive. So that is ALESANA in a nutshell. No team to be afraid of.

hennerie was surely the better team this year. Halfway during the season he was at the top of the table with a big gap on antwerp. But suddenly he became less active and antwerp took over. He tried to sell most of his riders but none of them got sold because of the high prices he asked (think it was 4 mil for boivin). Then he lost interest. Don't know if it's a finacial issue, or just wanted to miss promotion. But like Davy says, he has got some skilled riders but doesnt understand the managing part of this game which cost him lots of victories. If he comes back, he needs to do it quick. He keeps paying wages, but doesnt generate much income at the moment. Antwerp is the opposite. Good manager, knows what he's doing, surprising tactics, but misses that top cyclist which can provide him many victories, points and money in 2nd div. He might win a few races, but surely will not compete for promotion. At the moment 45 cyclists. Don't know his plans, but he might fire some guys and continue with youngsters? Dirks toppers, i had him in my division a few seasons ago. It wasnt a big threat back then. But things change so im not sure now. He is the only team that uses fitness training, so watch out i would say. By the way is the strongest team if you ask me. Some good older cyclists with tappa, chitul and especially brinks. He will win races in 2nd div, for sure. He comes from P&P, who was in my division last season, and at the beginning he owned our div Alesana and gonzalez, know them also. Alesana is mainly a young squad, filled up with some decent older ones. Might grab a few wins but no intention to promote. We have to wait and see if his younger guys can collect enough points Gonzalez will not rule the division. He had to let go some of his better cyclists due to financial probs. But with blijleven and sylvain he has 2 top riders left who can and will win (big) tours. He will score heavily in those tours. And, is also a team that has the ability to use fitness training That's what i can tell about the teams i know and follow.

Well, I'm sure my youngsters will grab some points Vrooompie. And indeed you're right. No intention to promote. But hey we'll see where my team goes. 2:1 or 2:2. Ngogo has a strong team. And Bergtoppen has (as far as I know) an amazing team. Don't underestimate the woman.

Goed gereden, Towerriders.
