Indeed, I didn't think about the fitness training. But everything is still possible. Still a long way to Aprica. I did some fitness training too this weekend, because I really need to earn some money. For me this is a crucial week. Current balance: -$141,682Balance estimation next week: -$762,601I've put some sprinters for sale (also an 18y old with FL 4 and SP 4, no one interested?). If they don't bring enough money, I'll have to sell some other cyclists by sunday. Hopefully I get some decent results in Tour of Norway, but I see there are a lot of good cyclists at the start... Another bummer: I was doubting on selling Lecot or not. By remaining in doubt, I forgot to extend his contract, so I lost him. Stupid stupid stupid. I'll see tomorrow evening how much money I threw away.

I am only interested in riders aged 25-28yr. I don't know if your 3 25yr-olds are good enough, and if you want to loose them?
Not extending a contract is a real bummer! I had it too last week with Hobai. All in all this stupidity will cost me 800-900k.
It's indeed a long way to Aprica. But if the fitnessupdates remain, the road will be too long.
For Norway, I don't have high hopes either. No rider to go for stage wins. Just letting my youngsters gain some experience. And with Nassi I hope to get on the podium in GC. It's a really difficult period in the calendar for teams with few riders ...

I don't know if my 25y olds are good enough, but I do know I don't want to lose them (all have a different specialty). I've put some older ones for sale. Pfff. Today 2 injuries in the Giro: Abramian (best mountain skill, was saving energy for tomorrows race) and Sikkes (who was 2nd today -and also was going to score in Milano-Torino next week- probably tripped over the finish line?). So only 1 decent cyclist left with still 4 races to go... Now it's a VERY long way to Aprica! Congrats with your victory, davyduck ! Nassi will surely end on podium, might even win the Tour of Norway.

Yep. Nice victory today. I think Guillemant is top favorite now after today's stage. Today's stage was the key stage in this giro for GC. A lot could have happen today. But it didn't I have the impression that Guiggi kind of didn't use the 2 times 15% fitness advantage in a very good way.
In those 4 last stages it will be man to man, without influence of fitnesstrainers. Guiggi will have a slight advantage on Guillemant on fitness. But Guillemant is a little better all-round-cyclist. And of course he is 7min behind in the GC. But I think he can close the gap!
The terrain is not perfect for Nassi, but I have high hopes he still can win tour of Norway. It will be a very close call.
Such a bummer for you all those injuries.

Hello guys! Completely forgot to check the forum more. Fun season so far, as expected from the 2nd division. I did forgot sign up for 2-3 races haha, stupid! The Giro is going exactly how I hoped to go, I went for easy constant finish with the lowest effort for every race possible, just to see how that would turn out. Maybe when I saved a bit more fitness for certain stages (instead of attacking all of them) but hell, thats the tactic I chose. I am curious for the last week, let's see of I can hold on to my lead Good luck Davy (and the rest) with the final stages of the Giro. The Tour de France awaits....

Like bart1985 says, it has been a fun and interesting season so far. The past week: Chisca did well in the last race of the Tour of Norway and survived the attack of Nassi. Nassi had to console with the race victory, the points jersey (witch he won wit ease) and ultimately also took the mountain jersey (to bad for me). Almost half way the season, it seems like we know who'll win Div 2.1. And another interesting week coming up: - GIRO * Can anyone threaten Guiggi? The top 8 all have 97-100% fitness, so I'm expecting fireworks in the last 3 races. * I was hoping to win the point jersey with Meurant, but with all the mountains, I'm afraid cyclists like Trifu and Guillemant can overcome him. - OBERÖSTERREICH JUNIORENRADRUNDFAHRT I only have 1 cyclist who likes mountains. I'm in doubt about going for GC or going for a race and mountain jersey. I think I'll wait the timetrial result to decide. Anyone else with high hopes for this tour?

So far, an interesting season indeed. For the first time, I mainly aim at stage wins, which works out pretty well. Even some "youngsters" are able to win stages. Already 4 stages in this year's Giro and still 1-2-3 in the mountain classification. That will most likely change after the final stage with 5 mountain sprints and all the big guns trying to save their general classification standings. Would be nice to see my former mountain goat Guiggi winning the Giro. Which, in my view, is likely, because Guiggi is a better mountain cyclist than Guillemant, I guess..
With respect to the youth tour: I will try to catch a stage win, but I do not have many youthies with mountain abilities, so that will be a hell of a job.

In the giro, Guillemant surrenders. After losing some time in last stage, victory is gone. I didn't expect Guiggi to take time, but he did. So Guillemants dream is over.
In the youth tour I have multiple cards to play. Problem is I am low on leadership, as everybody. So it's clear I can't play all my cards to the fullest. I need some more time to decide which card I'm going to play.
The tour didn't start supergood with a 7th place for Assuncao. I hoped him to be on the podium. But apparently there are a lot of TT'ers in our division. Let's see what the mountains tell tomorrow.

The lack of leadership is indeed a problem in a youth tour. It's hard to go for GC with 1 and stage win with another cyclist. Looks to me Mantingh has good cards for the GC. Marinescu for stage win? Not much time left to decide...

I'm still staring in shock at my screen
I could have had all 4 on first 4 places in GC if I didn't let assuncao go 100% in the TT, and if I placed spirito at 100% in stage 2.
BUT I'm quite happy with this result
