Because this forum should be in English, but isn't: An english topic about football in all countries, and of course international football. What do you think of the fact that Feyenoord can't play UEFA anymore because of the violent behavior of their supporters? I think it's a good thing clubs are punished for the behavior of the supporters, but I can imagine being one of the players, or non-violent supporters of feyenoord... They must be very pissed

I am no fan of that rule. Like if it's going to change anything . They must handle the real problem: hooligans. They fuck up the ambiance in certain sports. Clubs can't help it if they have hooligans. Non-violent supporters neither. why do they have to be punished?

Most of the hooligans are die-hard suporters of their club, so if they see their club is punished for what they do they might calm down... But there are of course people who go watch football for the fights and don't care about the club at all...

But there are of course people who go watch football for the fights and don't care about the club at all... Indeed. Just an example: Whenever I go to Portuguese stadiums to watch a game there are hundreds of supporters who are turned back to the game. They don't even watch the game. Simply scream to the others and sing. I really can't understand what they are doing there. Back to topic! If it was with my club i would be very pissed but the fact is: if the club is punished maybe they won't repeat it or will think twice before starting violence/racism. Ofc many clubs are not guilty of theirs supporters behavior but there are teams that incentive that kind of stuff!! That is much worse I suppose.

Of course One of the greatest foreign gks that passed by here!! ok... maybe the greatest! Mpenza also played for our rivals Sporting... but i didn't like him much. There are some good Portuguese players playing in Belgium though... Conceição for instance! He doesn't belong to our NT though but is fine

Yeah he is a great player, but I don't like his behavior... He was in your NT but is to old for that now I think?

Well, we had older players than him like Figo and Rui Costa playing! Conceição has entered in a bad form status after Euro2000 so he never played as well as he played in that Euro. Therefore was not called to represent our NT. And we wont be called anymore. We now have good players to cover his position like C.Ronaldo or Simão... much better than him and younger.
I knew he punched a Belgium referee right? hehe He should learn some manners, in fact.

Well... I'm Portuguese... there are only 3 major teams here: Sporting, Benfica and Porto. The natural choice for me is Benfica although Porto has been winning much more than Benfica in the last few years.

Why did you choose for benfica then? Clublove? or do you live in that region?

First: I live in Lisbon. People tend to choose the club of their town right? Second: My family are Benfica supporters. Choosing a team is about tradition. My father is the only black sheep of the family... he is Sportingist.
What is your club?
