I was hoping Rosa could do what he did on stage 2 of the Tour de Med, but apparently on a full blown flat stage with lots of flat riders pulling, he's not good enough to get away. The peloton must have been less vunlnerable to a flat attack since it's loaded with other flat riders. I'm not sure I have a reasonable strategy for any truly flat race. I don't have a lot of riders who can keep up in flat sections and successfully get away on small bumps like G-W had, and I'm simply not near the same levels with flat sprinters as the best in this league. actually Oliver, who won today, doesn't even have great flat skills, but he has sprint skill 8 so that helps i guess for now i have a lot of multi-skill riders, no experts (my highest skill level is 1 rider with 11 mountain) so we'll see where that leads us Interesting, Rosa is a 7-flat, 7-sprint... perhaps I would have done better with him as a final sprinter. As it is though, Sirucek (8-flat, 6-sprint) could only manage 7th for me. My team is multi-skilled as well. I have few riders with anything skilled over 7, but a lot with multiple skills at level 7. I only have one rider in double digits in any skill. That sort of makeup worked well for me last season, but I'm wondering if the gap between my guys and the specialists is starting to get too big for the edges in other areas to compensate.

Clarebout is also flat 8, sprint 6 and ended 2th
Olivier is flat 5 (but a high 5) and sprint 8 and ended 1st
I have 7 riders with skill 10 (some flat, some mountain) and 1 rider with skill 11 mountain, so that means that i have less skill in other terrains of course
Today was winning team 9 :-)

Hi everyone. Today De Scheefspuiters finally have their first win of the season and which one Paris-Roubaix the most beautifull of them all! :-) Redini did the job and won the sprint of the leading group with Meurant as a nice 3rd. I didn't expect this win, my riders are struggling in the breakaways, mostly the peloton gets them back before the finish, maybe i should let them train on time trial... I hope this our division stays active here on this forum, would be fun grtz, vuile juin

And your win makes 10 different teams who've won a race this season. A-G was a close but no cigar for me. I won 5 of the first 6 races and have struck out in every one since.

Yup almost everyone have riders who can win, makes it alot more tight and exciting! Again a 3rd and 5th place in the Amstel, these single races go me well

Okay... I'm not sure my first two stages could possibly have gone any worse. If my hill guys don't make up for it the next two stages this might be my worst ever GT performance. I'm really needing TT training... but I'm not going to start for at least 7 weeks (training TT up now for my trainer).

And with the win today... all is well again. The long flat section completely erased Rumler's initial gap, but he was able to break away again on the final hills.

With Amnesia winning today, every active team now has a win. While I don't have a great chance of promoting, it's cool to be in such a balanced league.

Well, it was as close as close can be, but Vandefonteyne from Neo was able to hold off Schuler from Diernaes to win the Giro by 3 seconds. It was very close... Schuler got secon on the stage today... had he finished with Bouchet's group he would have picked up exactly 3 more seconds and won the Giro (he had the lead in points which would have broken the tie.
It was a pretty good Giro for a lot of teams (though especially good for Neo and Diernas).
Neo: 2 stage wins, 1st/3rd/5th overall, team standings. Diernas: 2 stage wins, 2nd overall, points and mountains jerseys. Warner Bros: 2 stage wins Wombats: 1 stage win Amnesia: 1 stage win The Mothers: 1 stage win Gegevert: 1 stage win CZW: Young rider jersey Snake Milano: 4th overall
Now we have a few one day races and on to the Tour!

yes, i have to say, i didn't expect the giro to go that great for my team
A special congratulations to Vandefonteyne! He was never a great winner but this giro he always kept his coolness and was able to maintain his lead from the team time trial.
I find it also very interesting to see that Smiling ends 3th with even 80% fitness left, so he will normally start in the Tour de France (when he doesn't get injured this sunday at training)
Only my team only has 2 stage wins, Molema and Smiling
For the tour Smiling gets carte blanche, and will get the company of some nice riders: Aubert: this season 3th in Liege-Bastogne-Liege and 9th in Paris-Roubaix Tourneux: 13th last season in the Tour de France overall Rodarte: 5th in overall standings Santos Tour Down Under And the last place will be a hard decision for the team manager, because he has to choose between Olivier: Winner of Gent-Wevelgem or Witowski:this season 4th in Liege-Bastogne-Liege
So formally a great helpers-team around Smiling :-), with some extra capacities for a victory perhaps...
Good luck at you all

Yeah, I added your win from the first stage of Columbia by accident. Corrected to 2 now.

My team for the tour is mostly going to go for stage wins.
Lacroux will be my GC guy... but with 2 TT's he won't be finishing anywhere near the top. He's got good flat and mountain so will pretty much just hang on and finish as high as he can.
Garen will be my guy for the sprints. He's not good enough to win them in this league I think, but should get some decent placings I hope.
The other three will each target a stage.
I've got no GC shot in any race with a TT. I'm training my trainer in TT and will begin training some riders in it in a few weeks, but it won't be in time to help any with this season. It's my team's most glaring deficiency.

Redini has done a 'Bakelandts'! He finished 1 sec in front of the peloton and got the yellow jersey! This tour is already succeeded for De Scheefspuiters!

I believe this is the first time in the entire time I've played this game that I've held the leaders jersey in the Tour. Granted, it will only be for one day (as Bustos went at 100% and my team will lose many minutes in the TTT), but still... I'm pleased.

congrats at Redini and Bustos, but the time trial is a speciality for the Neo team, so now we can hopefully control the rest of the tour
My Time Trial Training finally finally looks to work :-)
I find it a very fun season, only Team Diernaes is sure of promotion, for the rest everything is still possible...
