Todays result was a little strange. I placed an attack at point 5 and my riders didn't get away and others made is. I can tell that one of my riders has more then 10 mountain, 4 sprint and 3 TT. What do you guys think? Stenes, you made it today Guala recover the Yellow. I think your rider did not get away because the segment at which he tried to escape was very short. Was 5km mountain. Other riders escape at that point.

What do you guys think? I also had an attacker at point 5 who didn't make it, but at the last attackpoint (also mountain, also 5 km, but 12% instead of 7% steep) he managed to get away (with others). To me was the same, my rider didn't escape at point 5 and others did, but at point 9 he escape.

Congratulations Stenes! It is nice to see that you tried (with success) an attack. Now the pressure is on the Montezelo boys Thank I had studied the second week of racing and I noticed those points as possible for the last desperate attack! Unfortunately, the benefit is too low and for this reason I think that tomorrow i'll lose 2 or 3 position in classification. however, i repeat, it was a nice GIRO ^^ I was playing to stay in this division but maybe I will play to get promotion, so I change a little my tactic and tomorow I will trie to win too but the big problem is to keep Montelezo guys behind, I cannot lose many time and I think I will lose more then 2/3 min.

Guala and its Coach deserve the Giro. I'll cross my fingers tomorrow hopping you both will get it

Hi Genomico, would be nice to have your expertise on ability to escape Don't you think that, as you underlay it, it doesn't depend only on the difference in basic skill in the type of terrain to ride (i.e. mountain for mountain, hill for hill etc ...) but also on the length of the segment to ride? Thanks in advance for your advice

Yes, the length of segment is VERY important. If your cyclist is good on that terrain, he can create a much larger gap ahead of the peloton on a large segment.

The TTT has a big impact in GC. Guala felt to 6th and Blice to 7th I never gave to many importance to TTT but they make a big difference.

My friend, i think that it's the moment to consider the trainer in TT!!! we have lost too much time in only a stage I think if I had put them all to 100% (instead of 3 to 85), I would have lost minimun 10 minutes instead of 12 (the same results!)

I have also been very surprised by the results of this TTT And as you guys, I notice that it is now impossible to compete in a Grand Tour without an interesting TT skill

You are right. I like to win the 3 grand tours and without a good TT skill becomes impossible. TdF doesn't have any TT this season, so a way to be fighting for GC.

So this week starts TdF. Who are the main candidates? He have 8 flat stages and 4 mountain stages. Have the best mountain riders enough flat skill to keep the pace to make the difference in mountain? lets see. A good tour to all
