I did this, but at first your link was not correct. Ok, to my calculations, the cyclists has already a contract of 5000 euro and all the bonusses as mentioned there, correct ? The only thing you try to do, is give him the money he wants + put his contract length at 48 weeks, correct ? If this is the case, he will indeed deny because he feels that his contract weeks is too long (only a few weeks though). So, lowering his number of weeks, will make him accept the offer, but keep in mind that his mood will not return to "content" !! He still wants to leave the club (because his mood increase by this contract is not so high)

IN my eyes that is another one of the drawbacks of the new contract-negotiation system , if he wants that kind of money for a 45-weeks contract then why does the system present 55 weeks to start with !?
(other disadvantages are the totally unrealistic raises in wages and the size of the mood drop for proposing a contract that would mean a raise that is not as high then expected, In real life those things take some negotiating too (to find the best "result" for both parties).

what should I do with him? He is one of my best cyclists, so I don't want to loose him. But Is he worth so much money? and so yes what kind of contract do I have to offer to make him content?

I agree that the contract system is not 100% flawless. The "default" number of weeks can be put on 45, that would indeed be better.
The huge wage increases are there because the contract negotiation is not made for increasing the cyclists mood to delighted, it is made to keep the cyclist in your team. A mood increase is a nice bonus when giving him more than he expected.
What to do with this cyclist ? If you want him to pay 31k to keep him in your team, just offer him a new contract. Since he already asks such a high wage, you will see that he will not ask for much more anymore and that you can play a little bit now with his contract to increase his mood bit by bit, without having to pay much more.

A mood increase is a nice bonus when giving him more than he expected. Okay that I can understand but that doesn't justify the huge mood-drops for proposing a contract that gives him f.i. 1.5 times his current wage instead of double (I am not asking for mood-improvement in that case, it just shouldn't drop, certainly not drastically unless you try to give him a contract which gives him a lower wage then his current one.

Indeed, the mooddrops are equal to the moodincreases when you do the opposite, but maybe these drops could indeed be much less when there is still an increase in wage. I will take this up ...
But keep in mind that there are a lot of contractdenials WITHOUT a mooddrop but every single contract acception will result in a mood increase !

I have give him much more then he wanted (50000) and now he is unhappy. Don't think he will end his contract in my team.
