Why don't we add the possibility to our cyclist to relax during some races? they could race till 60% (-10%) and gain 1/2 of that "relax percentage" in fitness?
for example if a cyclist ride 60%, he won't lose fitness after that race. if it rides at 62% he will lose only 1% fitness, and so on..
This is only an idea, it could be improved..

Don't get angry, but I think this is a bad idea. First of all, it may allow to very bad cyclists, who plays with 60% effort in all the stages except one at 100%, to win each stage. Overall-standings contenders would be disadvantaged and would even less realistic than now.

I understand there is a need for some more tactical options for races. But it doesn't always have to involve fitness. I even think that fitness shouldn't be touched anymore now, as otherwise all tactics would revolve around a single aspect.
There are other paths that could be looked in to, such race elements (type of race, distance, surface type, ...) or completely new things, such as assigning specific tasks to each cyclist and/or a team.
I would especially like to implement such cyclist/team tasks, but so far I haven't come up with very good options.

why not, but 60 % is -5% (half is only 2,5 %) (because 70% is +5 % !) Still needs some thinking doe, because everybody will be racing on 65% that way in the tours (lose nothing isn't realistic) also the maximum fitness should never be higher then 100%.
After some considering I think changes shouldn't be done in the fitness-area ! Letting somebody enter races to gain on form, so he is on a peak for a certain race (or races) is more realistic and could bring more tactical considerations to the game. Especially if the form-curve is different for each cyclist. (f.e. cyclist x needs 2 races to reach his peek in 3rd race but loses it fast in 4th and 5th race, while cyclist y needs 5 races to peak but can keep it up 4 races and loses it rather slow).

Agreed, but the 'peak' shouldn't mean '110% of fitness', but more like '10% bonus on the cyclist's best skill', or something like that.

stay of fitness. it's not realistic that a racer gains more fitness than a racer that is left at home.

i think leave as it is ) and bring those other stats in game ) hills downhill Team trial then you get more tactics already .
