that is not that good, because you really need a 20 to get the best result, the money you invest in a trainer with lesser skills is a waste in my eyes although you can choose to train your trainer but even then it is better to put everything in one skill (mountain and flat are the best choices for success, sometimes a hilltrainer is a good choice to, training other skills isn't wise).

Simply answer: it is better to put everything in one skill As a beginner you cant start with a 20- trainer so a 7 or 8 is good, but its not good to put them in 2 skills. What you should do now is train your trainer in mountain to 20. Dont train Sprint, its not very usefull, especially not for beginners.

The best thing is train the trainer........... I don't waste my money to buy trainers to have a 20...... You can object it........ But i think only top teams need it......

ONE skill, for beginners 8 to 10 maximum. Take one of these skill's: flat or mountain for starters!

and then? if you have a 10 skill trainer. when is training and how long does it take to improve a point for a rider?

training is on sunday evening, and how fast he improves really depends on the Future Ability skill of the cyclist itself with a 20 skill trainer it takes minimum 3-4 weeks for the really good ones, but somewhere around 10 weeks or more for the really bad ones.
I guess you probably lose something around of 0,05 skillpoints per training when having a 10 skill instead of a 20 skill trainer. So for instance if your cyclist would exactly raise 1 skillpoint every 4 weeks when trained by a 20 skilled (0,25 skillpoints per week) , he would probably need 5 weeks when trained by a 10 skilled (0,20 skillpoints per week).

Is this so?? I would think if you had at trainer skill 10 it would take twice as long than a 20 skill trainer.

Is this so?? I would think if you had at trainer skill 10 it would take twice as long than a 20 skill trainer. no because the raise in skill consists of 2 parts : a trainer-part and a cyclist-part, the trainer part will be halved but the cyclist part stays the same. So for someone who could train 0.1 skillpoint per week (meaning approximately 0.05 trainer-part and 0.05 cyclist-part) it would take twice as long, but the better the cyclist's F.A. the less influence trainer skill has in extra weeks per skillpoint. But again this figure is an own estimation and could be different now, especially since the changes in training-speed depending on skillvalue made 2 seasons ago.

ok when one of my riders pops in 5-8 weeks he is traineble. But do you get riders at start of game that are on zero in gain skills? not that i have one pop up now cause his stats where near the pop and then wait 10 15 weeks for next pop..lol
others whom take 15 weeks or more better sold or fired?
is there an overview where you see what kind of type of money the rider had erned in a race/after race? like ryder Flimm 1000 sprints, 1000 jersey, 100 place xx...

i don't understsand then why it would be wise then to get a trainer right away with 20. It seems to me that if a trainer is 1 lvl better he costs 20 000 more, isnt the price for training him 10000?

I don't think it's wise to get a trainer skill 20 right away. I would start with skill 10. I't's cheaper that way and you'll have to many money problems in the begining witha 20 skill trainer. I think thes are the prices: level 20 trainer 400.000 level 10 trainer 200.000 + 10x 10000 = 300.000 total.
After 10 weeks you're not a newbie anymore and you'll have no more problems financialy + you have a trainer skill 20.
