I'm a fan of the old rock-groups and the rock-bands of today: the cult, Queen (  best band ever ), Sioen (not really rock but I'm a huge fan), Therapy?, ...But I like a lot of other genres as well. |

i love rock  alternative if possible, but i listen to heavy metal too, gothic! depends on the mood! favorite bands: Metallica, Linkin Park, Nightwish, The Rasmus, Blue October, Panic! at the Disco, Green Day, U2, Limp Bizkit ... When i watch hattrick games i listen to trance (rock is bad luck for me  i always lose when listening to rock) |

some bands/artists I like in random order (but the first band I like the best) : Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, The Chemical Brothers, (Iggy &) The Stooges, (early) Prince, Helstar, Howling Wolf, The Sisters of Mercy, Shameboy, System of a down, The Violent Femmes, Yello, Dragonforce, Scraping Foetus of the wheel, (early) Rolling Stones, Daan, Chastain, Beastie Boys ... in my top 10 of all times songs like "Papa was a rolling stone" (The temptations) would easily stands aside songs like "Chop Suey" (SoaD) or "Am I Evil ?" Metallica.

"New groups" i discoverd together with my son: The kooks, Razorlight, The Zutons, ... Mainly new brittish pop.
Also i like worldmusic and most of it latin-oriantated (think of ojos de brujo, Macaco, Zuco 103, ...)
Oldies like Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash are also okay( mainly their older work)
Folk and Folk-rock: make a search for Gogol Bordello, nice folk-punk.
And I could go on and on and on and ...

The kooks is overhyped I think their music is nice. the end:p:) We bought their in Bretagne july 2006, when they where still unkown in Belgium. The hype came later but the music self is good. |

pretty much all genres, except modern rock, which sounds too uninspired to me.
Older: The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Nick Drake
Semi-old: Nirvana, Sonic Youth.
Other genres:
hip hop (Wu Tang, of course, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Herbaliser, Outkast)
trip hop (Massive Attack, Tricky)
electronica (DJ Krush -> my favorite, DJ Shadow, DJ Cam)
also good bands/performers: Beck, Radiohead, Air, Gorillaz

They are one of my favorite bands... and I can't see anything awful in them. Ofc they have bad musics, as everyone else, but in general they are quite good. One thing I must admit I don't like in Nirvana: the mediatism they gain with Cobain's death... and Courtney Love... Back to topic: I like almost all kinds of music... just can't listen to heavy heavy metals and popular (pop) music from Portugal (just disgusting). 3doors down, gorillaz, Police, U2 and LP are some of my favourites. |

Courtney Love is great, once seen her live in brussels lunatheater (AB): a real rock-pregnant dog (positive mentioned)
One of the best concerts i ever saw with a almost al-female band.
