Races for division 2A are ready and passwords have been sent. Division 2B is unfinished at the moment because I can set up only 5 funraces each week. I am currenlty working on that together with Helder. Will probably be fixed soon.
Cheers

Passwords for Division 1 have been sent.
I'm waiting a little bit for sending password for Division 2. First I would like to have an idea of how many teams participate and if we make a second group or not.

Divisions for season 6. As in real peloton the top division consists of 12 teams out of which the last 4 regelate. If any of teams of division 1 would not participate this season then the numbers 9 to 12 from last season will be added first as replacements. If more than 14 teams would enter division 2 then they will be split in two divisions A and B randomly like in peloton.

Hi all As the new season has started and the competition in your division might be too though or too easy and many ambitions are allready being reconsidered it is time for another challenge. The new season of the FGFC (or the Future Generation Funrace Competition). Thanks a lot to Genomico for organising this for 5 seasons. All the history for these 5 seasons can be found here linkI choose to start this thread under the General Discussion section because I think it recieves more attention than hidden in the tournaments sub-forum. How does it work?Teams are divided in divisions, in each division the teams can participate in two funraces every wednesday. Funraces are found in the main menu of the peloton site, almost at the top. Regular players can only participate in 1 funrace per week, premiums in both races. Every race has a certain age limit indicated. There will be a mix of types of races and terrains. Planned races: for each age category from U22 untill U31 there will be two races. That means there will be 20 races over a period of 10 weeks. For every division standings will be made and promotions and regelations apply. A password will be given to you in order to make sure everybody enters to the correct races. Normally the competition will start august the 29th. What do we need for now?Managers! I hope and assume everyone from last season will continue participating. If that would not be the case please post it here or send me a message. Besides the regulars we would like to have many new teams. It is a fun way of testing your younger riders against other teams from other divisions. Please leave a message here if you want to participate. Final standings last seasonFinal Division 1 standings: Team Total 1. Op kop de sloot in 1627 2. Team Slayer 1041 3. BeterLaatDanNooit 899 4. Really happy with the win. Didn't think a 31y old with ok mood could win against delighted mood.

It seems like all my riders who didn't train (and possibly the ones who trained as well) had a transfer value decrease? Also everyone<35y. Does that make sense? Anyone else?

That's why you recharged pietrok and bienert? 😎
Anyway, very good first week for Joop and a first indication about team strenghts but many new opportunities in next weeks two tours.
Ambitions for next week? I have one Algarve stage and Strade Bianchi where I would like to get close to a win and a top 5 youth gc in mind.

Bienert still the boss in 3:2 like Joop said. Seems even at 38 he will be almost unbeatable wherever he focusses on.
Heavy competition in the first race and a nice podium for newcomers Joop and Marco. Congratulations. For now Holland-Belgium dominating here. Seems like Burgos is worrying a little about staying in this division because he is really active on the transfer list?

Just for information. I am travelling for two more weeks, afterwards i will prepare the new future generation competition.
I had someting in mind like a competition of 10 weeks for age ranges of 22 - 31 with 2 races each wednesday again where every age maximum (from 22-31) gets two races.
So everybody first has some time to get used to his new division or competitors

Just to be sure... Only total skill is counted right? So a 7 7 7 7 7 7 rider is counted for just as much as a 0 7 14 0 7 14 rider?
Because it changes the importance of the stats above a lot.

In the meanwhile: information about retirements for teams that stay in this division: Pollyjean:
no riders >36y so no retirements Quiller:
- Welschen the Hill allrouder retired at 39 years old. - The big guns with top mood Bienert and Pietrok both survived at 36 and 37 years. Berdios Pro Cycling: - Retirement of mountain rider Quaresma (38)
- However Barnier (38) and top mountain allrounders Meslin (37) and Rebiere (37) all still exist.
Ngogo United: - Only Angeli (mountain captain), Menschaert and Nadeau retired all at 38 years. Their retirement cuts combined wages by more then 100k. -Survivors: Broers (37, top mountain rider), Floca (38), Reis (37), Smit (37), Van den Elzen (37) Pedale Bolognese: - Retirements: Martinez Vera and Vasques at 39 years but more importantly also Barbantini (top FLsprinter) and Minnebo retired who were both leaders at 37 years old. No idea if Pedale has leaders left in his squad. Could have a big influence. - Survivers: Top FL sprinter Alunno at 37 years, Parisot (good Mountain allrounder36) and Vercetti (39). Burgos-BH
no riders >36y if I'm not mistaken so no retirements.
