Thanks. Unfortunately I forgot yesterdays tacktics... Stupid! I wasn't going for a classification, but I could have done something nice yesterday. My man for the Youth classification isn't doing well as well. So everything for the LS-points and some interesting stages.

Damn. Marinescu doesn't like the mountains, so normally he's not able to win a big Tour. Still I'm disapointed with the time loss today compared to Welsh. I was hoping the gaps in a race of only 100km would be smaller. Initially I selected him to go for stages, but I changed plans. Still hoping for podium, although it's still a long way to go.
Tour of Austria is for me about young leader gaining LS, 1 youngster for jersey, 2 for riding stages to complete their contract and hopefully 1 good raceresult.

I do like seeing old cyclists - fond memories of marinescu - probably let him go a bit early, although seem to remember he was killing me with wage demands!
my prospects for survival are getting slimmer by the week. 300 points from safety is still in touch, but barely!

A bit late, but here are the raceresults of week 8: Week 8: RacesNr | Team | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4-5 | 6-10 | Total | 1 | Neo | | | 2 | 3 | 8 | 13 | 2 | Gonzalez | 1 | | 2 | 2 | 3 | 8 | 3 | KS Crusaders | 1 | 3 | | 1 | 5 | 10 | 4 | Headcase Pro Cycling | 3 | | | | 2 | 5 | 5 | GIK team | | | | 2 | 1 | 3 | 6 | SpartaB | | | 1 | 1 | 5 | 7 | 7 | team dustin | | 1 | 1 | 3 | 2 | 7 | 8 | Schizmano | | 2 | | | 2 | 4 | 9 | ChosenOnes | 1 | | | | 2 | 3 | 10 | towerriders | | | | | | 0 | 11 | Zapardiel | | | | | | 0 | 12 | BJA Cycling Team | | | | | | 0 |
Headcase was very efficient: 5 top 10 places, 3 of them were wins! Neo scored 13 top 10 places in 1 week, holding this seasons record together with Crusaders. As we are in the middle of the season, here the summary of the final standings in tours: Week 1-8: Tour resultsNr | Team | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4-5 | 6-10 | Total | 1 | Neo | 4 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 6 | 14 | 2 | Gonzalez | 1 | 2 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 9 | 3 | KS Crusaders | 1 | 1 | 0 | 4 | 4 | 10 | 4 | Headcase Pro Cycling | 0 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 4 | 7 | 5 | GIK team | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 6 | 6 | SpartaB | 0 | 0 | 2 | 1 | 7 | 10 | 7 | team dustin | 0 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 8 | 12 | 8 | Schizmano | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 9 | ChosenOnes | 0 | 0 | 2 | 2 | 4 | 8 | 10 | towerriders | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 11 | Zapardiel | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 12 | BJA Cycling Team | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Every (active) trainer scored a podium place. Neo big winner with 4 yellow jerseys (and Tour de France is looking good too).

Nice overview, Bosko. Only 1 podium in all these tours. Maybe today Marque can ride into top 3 again. But it's according to my focus in this season: stage wins before tour wins. I'm quite satisfied with 8 victories so far. More than I expected. And a 4th place midseason is amazing for me!

Wow, 6 TdF-stages and 6 different teams won a stage. None of them were Neo, who is with 4 riders in top 6.

Gonna be tough newborn. But tomorrow's stage will be better suited for Welsch than for Marinescu. Ceccanti just failed to grab the mountain jersey today. It was Martincigh himself who took the 5 points on sprint 1 and I think that is going to be enough. Well done ChosenOnes. But I am extremely happy with our 2nd stage win this Tour. Last chance: Rigaux on Friday.

It was Martincigh himself who took the 5 points on sprint 1 and I think that is going to be enough. Well done ChosenOnes. But I am extremely happy with our 2nd stage win this Tour. Last chance: Rigaux on Friday. That was a huge bummer! Sikkes had 30p in Mountain ranking, so was rather sure of winning it. But somehow he fell on a stupid flat part in the beginning and injured himself. Mountain jersey and money gone. And he was supposed to score again next week, but now he's useless untill week 14 (while I was planning to use him in week 15). headcase: maybe its possible to gain time on Martincigh and still win the MJ. He doesn't have much energy left... damn, Welsch fell today... 13 seconds behind... everything gets exciting these next races I asked Marinescu. He said he doesn't like tomorrows race, but he promised me he'll do anything to keep Welsch as close as possible. Don't know if its possible to create a big time difference in the TT, but I would be stupid not to try. Good luck, newborn!

I'm afraid the gap is to big. TT in Giro had more flat and downhill and 0 mountain, so suited him perfectly. Above that, I think he only won because it was the 5th race that week, so most of the cyclists had already used a lot of energy.

i'm curious too
Welsch has some TT qualities, but Marinescu is the better TT rider, but with the yellow jersey on, everything is possible
