Arview hasn't won the last two youth races, but he's finished 2nd and 1st with the under-20 crowd. Makes me hope he can impress next season. Having no 20-year olds on my U-21 makes any points from these races a bonus.

Odd standings for the Vuelta at the moment.
#1 and #2 are at what I'd call "full" fitness (just the normal daily 5%) drop. After that for riders at 90% or better you have #7, #11, #14 then a big group starting at #18.
What's really odd is the guys at 85%. Was that just a math error, were guys coming in fatigued or was there some strategy (perhaps a 75% attack on one of the last two stages?)

Not sure stage 2 is a great indicator... at least in regards to my riders (meaning Seabra and Cabu).
Especially Cabu.
Stage 2 had a lot of hill in it. 81 km of hill, 41 km of mountain. While it had mountain as the last significant climbs of the stage, I'm betting many better mountain riders were shed by earlier hills. Cabo has a 5 mountain rating. He's not a challenge at all.
Seabra is a little better in the mountains, but he's still an all-round guy, not a mountian specific guy. I'm torn on if I should even bother trying to hold his GC position or if I should just use him to go for a stage (like I did with Goorts... a similar rider to Seabra).
The more I look, the less I think Seabra has a shot to be honest. I'm not sure how good a spot he could realistically hold on to. And I'm not sure if a 4th or 5th place in the GC is worth giving up a shot at a stage win.

Cerato won his 2nd in the Vuelta yesterday. Congratz! MOI. Mathias Peters his first this season. MOI did his very best with Murgu but was a bit to weak for Peters. Closed the gap again with buckeyes to 9 points. I'm working out my plan and it looks good.

Not sure if my decision was a good one or not for this past stage.
Decided to go with a very low effort attack from Seabra.
Spent 5% fitness with Seabra to get just below 3 minutes on the peloton. Is being 5% down going to cost me more then 3 minutes in the remaining stages? Was Seabra going to lose a ton of time anyway, so a max effort attacking strategy today would have held more value?
We'll see after Tuesday. My guess is that Seabra would probably lose too much on that stage even with the extra 5% to be in serious contention anyway. But maybe the extra 3 minutes from today gives him a shot at a podium.

Seabra won 2'46'' on Ziegler today with the 5% extra. Don't know if you dit a good thing. That's what's so great about this game Can Seabra cope in a ITT? and there's also another hill-mountain stage coming up before the ITT
