NikeBoy can you check funnyrace Id 705 and explain some things? Part 8 - Bregge attacks but he cannot escape - 2 riders with less mountain and sprint escaped. Part 14 - Bregge escape with 2 other riders but in the next part he is behind the other 2 riders, why? He is the best mountain in the group, they are 3 riders and even if the other have better TT they work as a group of 3 and they can only escape if they attack or Bregge has a fall or a flat. Part 20 - Bregge got caught by the first peloton, why he was left behind if there are in that group riders with less mountain and they were in the final step?

I noticed a display bug in the fun race 705:
01:23:48 A bunch of cyclists try to set up an attack !! Let's have a look at those names : Bregge (Melres United), Vanstapel (SKY is not the limit), Delafuente (SKY is not the limit), Deproost (Zapardiel), Mace (Zapardiel), Pietrucci (Tours.Cycle.Club), Streber (Team Franconia), Bandura (Melres United), De Vreese (SKY is not the limit), Wiart (Melres United) !
01:34:22: In the mean time the attack group has lost some people : Vanstapel (SKY is not the limit), Delafuente (SKY is not the limit), Deproost (Zapardiel), Mace (Zapardiel), Pietrucci (Tours.Cycle.Club), Streber (Team Franconia), Bandura (Melres United), De Vreese (SKY is not the limit), Wiart (Melres United) ! This means that the current attackers left are : Vanstapel (SKY is not the limit).
01:43:02 Bregge from Melres United looks over his shoulder and realises it's over. His attack failed !
So the only attacker left is Bregge (and not Vanstapel). The link is correct by the way! You can find the same issue in part 12 of that fun race.

Thats for your info Seberla. I will try to check more closely the report this weekend. This way we can find the bugs and that way NikeBoy can make a better engine with better reports I hope Nikeboy will have a little time too this weekend to see this

NikeBoy can you check funnyrace Id 705 and explain some things? Part 8 - Bregge attacks but he cannot escape - 2 riders with less mountain and sprint escaped. In part 8 all attacks have failed ! For Bregge, he missing a bit TT. Like said before, he doesn't have to have 10 TT but a bit more than he has today ! Part 14 - Bregge escape with 2 other riders but in the next part he is behind the other 2 riders, why? He is the best mountain in the group, they are 3 riders and even if the other have better TT they work as a group of 3 and they can only escape if they attack or Bregge has a fall or a flat. Part 14 is downhill (12%) ! In this part he can not follow his 2 fellow attackers. Just look at his downhill skill ! Your explanation is not correct. Sure, when 3 cyclists are in attack, they will all have their influence in the speed of the group, but they can still lose contact with the group if their individual time is much worse than the group time ! This is what happened here. Perfectly normal ! Part 20 - Bregge got caught by the first peloton, why he was left behind if there are in that group riders with less mountain and they were in the final step? Not so many riders with less mountain in that group and the ones who have less mountain, are only a bit below Bregge's mountain skill BUT have much much better TT OR have still a lot of helpers ! Conclusion : Bregge is just not good enough ! Sorry to say this but this is a perfect example as of how I would like the engine to work (in case of Bregge) !

But we are in a democracy and I have my point of view too In part 8 I think that Bregge should have escape because like Ip told some time ago for attacks riders only need to have the terrain skill and sprint. 2. "Attacker" : The cyclist will attempt an attack on one or more predefined points during the race. When a cyclist attempts an attack, he will first perform a break-away (‘demarrage’) to create an initial gap. For this break-away the cyclist needs a sufficient Sprint skill. So he only need TT after. About part 14 - the difference of DH is 1 or 2 in maximum so even that Bregge has 0 DH he should keep the pace. If riders with 8M and 6TT can keep the pace of riders with 15M and 1TT in mountain why shouldn't Bregge keep the pace of the other riders in the Dh section? Part 20 - before this part Bregge was in front with some time so I think at least he should keep the pace too. 78kg is to much for mountain?

Thanks for you answer Nikeboy. Indeed, but that is not the whole story ! Let's say you have a part of 10 km. When he attacks, he will perform a 'demarrage' to create an initial gap, for this he uses sprint and terrain skill, correct ! Let's say that he "sprints" to get away over a distance of 1 km. The remainder of the part (i.e. 9 km) he will need TT as well !! After that part, his gap towards his group is evaluated, when it is big enough it is considered a succesfull attack, when it is too small or even negative, it is considered a failed attack ! You give the answer yourself : it is a combination of terrain skill and TT (and again, the influence of both skills are not 50% each !!) His 0 DH in combination with his poor TT is the breaking factor ! Part 20 - before this part Bregge was in front with some time so I think at least he should keep the pace too. 78kg is to much for mountain? In part 19 he was already part of that group, he was not in front ! I am not saying weight was the deciding factor, but it has its influence and with 78 kg he was the heaviest rider in the pack ! Again, it is a small influence but added up to other factors, it led to a drop.
