Ok here's a awkward situtation i've gone through. I had to renew the contract of a cyclist which unfortunately had the last week of contract in the last week of the season. So when trying to lower the new requested contract I could offer a maximum number of races per season = 0 (which was the number of races left in the season ) solution were either offer a huge contract or a small contract for a ridiculous number of weeks. On top of that my stupidity not to bring up this topic in time led to losing the cyclist! ok cyclist is gone now, but maybe something can be changed to avoid this situation. G.

To be honest, I think you should think about that before. Calculate when the contract will end and what is the best time to renew it. Sometimes it means, wait until the last week, sometimes it means already way before that. Waiting on the last week always means some kind of risk.

I understand your point, but the option you are given to renew the contract should not be affected by when you renew it. If I want to renew it on the last week I shouldn't have restrictions on what to offer. at least my point of view!

The restriction should be the number of races the rider has participated in + the number of races remaining. Right now I think it just does the number remaining... so your rider might have had 20 race days with 2 races to go and the most you can give him for number of races (for all the seasons you sign him for) is 2 race days. I hate to say the following about code I have never seen... but this doesn't sound like a hard fix.
