It's now 14.30 and the funraces will begin 18.45. Why am I not able to create some funraces till they begin. If I want to create some, it is not possible. I can create funraces for 7 October, but not anymore for 30 September. How come? This must be a bug, can someone solve it please...

I only know it is not a bug, probably it is done that way to keep organizers form changing something in a funrace the last day (so teams who subscribed will have the time to adapt to such a change).

That makes no sense. It must change. Just make changes impossible from the moment 1 contender is subscribed.

In my eyes it does make sense; although I also cursed at this rule when I first found out (the hard way). But this rule just makes things much easier to check and to explain. And making it impossible to change a thing after 1 contender is subscribed is a much to harsh rule (you will also post that it is not a fair rule when you make a little mistake and want to correct it 5 minutes after only to find out someone has already subscribed).

It may not be possible to change anything after 1 contender is subscribed, because the chance he rechecks is like 20%. I know it and you know it. So the subscribed contender will never ever know, because he won't get a message and thinks everything will be ok. So it doesn't make sense. Just remove the possibility of changing anything, and let us create some funraces as we have paid for.
