Now that i promoted to 3rd division, my best result is 15th for my best rider in his best possible race.
This means that this will be a very boring and problematic season for me.
I think you really need to change the conditions to win. Now the best rider with the best team that didn't have any bad luck will win the race.
In real life, this is not allways true. Some lesser teams can win sometimes by surprising the best teams with advanced tactics. (for example: attacking with a few riders and a peloton that didn't want to work to get them back like Brutt this week in the Giro...)
In the football game Hattrick i can beat way better teams because i played a great tactic on them. That is what a games makes fun to play.
The way the game engin works now makes it less fun when you are weak in your division.

Does anybody agree or disagree?!
Since i posted this i got some nearly podiums and a 3rd place in a race. And now i am in 4th place in the overall ranking, wich exceeds my expectations a lot!
But i still feel that advanced tactics will make this game a lot stronger and will be more fun...

Well there are allready some tactics involved in the game but I'll agree to any tactic in surplus. The more the better.

I agree as well, but it isn't easy to find good tactics and especially how to implement them. In any case, it will eventually be in the game, it will only take a bit more time. We are still working on some other aspects in the game that need reviewing too (like the contracts).

This depends on how much difference it can make. A bad rider(e.g. skill 3) winning over a great rider(e.g. skill 14) sounds silly even if you take 'advanced tactics' into account. The only realistic way this can happen is in long tours, where this one riders gives a 100% where all the other riders are sitting it out because they need to preserve energy for the overall result.(IMHO) Since all riders ride at 70% this should be enough for average riders (e.g. skill 6) to keep up with these bad riders.
If such 'advanced' tactics were introduced I think they should only be possible in the long tours, so riders can really peak to that one particular stage at the expense of a general result. A sort of 'suicide' mode where their skills will be multiplied by 2 for example (could be lower, could be higher), but their fitness will also drop with an extra 30%(or any value that makes riders so low on fitness they can never recover enough to do even mediocre in all the other stages).
This of course being only my two cents.
Best Regards,
David
