I don't know whether others see this as a problem, but in a week with a race on Sunday (like this week), some of your cyclists could get injured and if you aren't able to check this before the weekly update tonight, you might lose training possibilty because of it.
I can imagine many people putting exactly 25 cyclists in their training squad (if they have this many), in order to get 100% training. But in case you can't be online during the whole weekend, and two of your cyclists get injured during that weekend, only 23 will get training. That's quite a loss.
Therefor, couldn't we put together a substitution list, like five guys on the bench, able to substitute injured cyclists from the training pool ?

The bench will only need to be used when others from your training pool would get injured or get sold and you didn't have time to manually change your training pool anymore.

If you train 25-30 riders, your total team skill increase will be almost equal. So, why don't you put 26 or 27 riders in your training table? Chances are very small that 2 or more cyclists will be injured because of the race. And if you are so lucky that no one is injured during the race, you loose nothing, even at the contrary, you even gain: 26x96,6%=2511,6% or 27x93,3%=2519,1%, while 25x100% only equals 2500%. When you have 25 cyclists and you loose one, then your total will only be 2400%. So, you can protect yourself against a possible 100% (or 200% ...) loss on your total team skill increase by simply adding 1 or more extra cyclists to your training table. So, personally, I don't see any need for a 'bench' which to me, sounds a bit too artificial and not related to 'cyclism'.

Bench is only used as a word to describe it. I was in no way thinking of football, basketbal or some other team sport when I used it. Of course I was thinking that you could also put 26 or 27 riders in your list, to counter a possible stroke of bad luck. But I feel you're using mathematics wrong here. As it's normal you rather want to give your 10 best cyclists 100% of training instead of 93,3%, and care less for the others in your training pool.

Well, that should be each own managerial decision then ... what is normal for you, isn't for me for example, since I train on average 27-28 cyclists each week.
A manager game is about making decisions which best suit your wishes and ambitions. However, it is not because you think that you can optimize your team management by requesting the implementation of new features, that this always is the way to go. If every 'ideal' training scenario would be possible by the gameplay, there is very little room for management decisions that make the difference, because everybody would run his team quite similarly. In my opinion: no gain without some sacrifices.
If you say that your top 10 trainees NEED the 100% training, and you care less for the others in your training pool, then you for sure wouldn't mind having a small chance (only so now and then) to train one unfortunate cyclist less that week.

That's right. I rather train 24 cyclists 100% than 27 cyclists 93,3%. And you're right that it's a decision some people wouldn't make, which is part of managing. But it's that this training pool is a new implementation, IP might not have foreseen some things, that I mention this. It's not too fair if people who can't login every day would get disadvantaged. But in the end this is just a small suggestion. I sure can live without a system to cover this little flaw.

I know you shouldn't have to log in every day to play this game, but there comes a point where you eventually have to log in some time to see if everything is right For training, you'd only have to log in Sunday for a couple of minutes after the race, that shouldn't be too difficult I hope.

Now I take injured riders out of the trainingpool, but that is not necesseary then ? They are automatically not counted for when calculating the effect of the training Also I would like to suggest that youthpulls and purchased cyclists would automatically be added to the trainingpool , especially when there are less then 25 cyclists in there (already happened to me 2 times that the new guy just wasn't trained for this reason). I think it is more logical taht all the cyclists in a team receive training except if you exclude them, not the other way around !

No, selected injured cyclists are counted for the training effect (where did I suggest this to be otherwise?)
