I think intentions are good but there is a lack of time !
What we could do in a first stage and which will give us output very quickly, is asking the experienced users to update the wiki pages (at least the english version) with the correct information and from a newbie point of view. (everyone has write access on this)
These pages could be copy/pasted on the site directly each on their appropriate site page (f.i. trainer info on the trainer page) Like the "?" button on the tactics page.
This could be a great help for the new users already (for those who not find their way to this wiki or forum)

I know that this is a hobbie and is for fun, but watching the comments there are people that could and by their posts wants to help, so why don't you guys acept the help?
Some experient users could help in this and perhaps you could offer some extra premium to them.
With some help this get better and with better information more managers will come to the game.
Watching the statments and watching the managers, helpers:
- Belgium - Nikeboy or Schizm (original script) - English - Lee - Netherlands - Genomico - Germany - Joelag - Romania - rarau - Portugal - ElGringo - Italia - ? - French - ?
and the game gets better.
I think that after the manager choose the nationality the game page should go the his language, I speak to myself because I always use English and only this days saw there exist portuguese.

Imho there's a problem with the wiki: The Dutch version is much more accurate than the English one because most users speak Dutch (you and IP as well). When I started (is it really only 11 months in the past) I had the ambition to help to improve the English wiki because I'm a huge fan of the wiki philosophy. But soon I discovered how quite inaccurate the wiki is and that the more accurate and important information could only be found in the fora. So I was really frustrated about this and didn't consult the wiki again. We should build a task force whose ambition it is to keep the English !!! wiki up-to-date and accurate. I would be willing to participate in such a task force.

The game needs to do everything it can to encourage new teams:
Why not make a pool of the more experienced managers (say Div 2 & 3 atm) and divide up the new teams each week and assign each to an experienced mentor who speaks the same language. The mentor could help show the new team the ropes via in-game messages.
The mentors willing to do this could be given a small perk to compensate for the extra time required (say $10,000 per week), with a simple IP address check (as for transfers) to prevent abuse.
If 50% of the new teams that join each week stayed for >=1 season then the game would have healthy growth. There must be lots of ideas out there on ways to encourage this?

Or if experienced managers willing to mentor new teams were allowed to train 26 riders each week at 100% efficiency rather than 25, then there'd probably be some eagerness to be a mentor...

That idea sounds great. New players would feel encouraged and less lost, they wouldn't leave the game so easily...
Also I think we should make as much (free) advertising as possible. We can create topics about peloton-game on all kinds of forum, related to cyclism, just sport, computer games, etc... I think this way we could reach quite a lot of potential players.
I really hope we're gonna find the players... this game has a great potential. We have to reach the tipping point, after what word of mouth will do the rest.

645 users it is a very hard time for a cylcing game, with the Armstrong case on his peak. But I am sure that this game is on the right track. The engine got so much better. I just hope the developers dont give up. I am sure as soon as the Armstrong case settles down, we start advertising the game and the real life cycling season starts, user numbers will rise quickly.

It's a very hard time for cycling, but being so much in the media it's also the perfect moment to contact some newspapers and magazines. If only 1 national newspaper/magazine picks up the article it could be a huge boost for Peloton.
Almost every newspaper has a weekendedition and I wouldn't be surprised if they often could use a nice article to fill the gap.

Firts time below 600 managers The game keep losing people. And the absence of nearly a month of IP and the resolution of the Eneco problem doesn't help.

We will provide some compensation anyhow. It seems that resimulating the race is the only option to solve this issue the correct way, but this is not an option, I guess ! So we will provide alternatives soon...
