In the E3 I put a cyclists as final sprinter with 4 helpers (all of them at least 6 flat). My sprinter has bad secundaries and falls 3 times. The last time he falls was on the last steep downhill part (i don't exactly know how far it stillwas tot the finish but I think 30km). Can someone explain me why my final sprinter is left behind by the peloton where my 4 helpers are in. Shouldn't they try to bring him back?

I already saw helpers doing is work and other times don't. IP or Nikeboy are the only one that could explain this situation.

And in the same time, it's good if it's not automatic... It currently looks a bit like a rider can in the same race go and help the leader when he falls / has a flat tyre, drive the peloton during the race to chase escaped riders, and lead his sprinter through the finish. A bit too much for one man to my mind.
And bravory and steering impacts on the game would become less important... there has to be a good balance!

It looks a lot for one man, but we only have 5 cyclists... I mostly use more than one helper though.

In this case I used 4 helpers, becaus I know this sprinter will have falls and flats. A 7flat - 7mountain; 7flat - 6 mountain, a 10 flat and a 6 flat - 5 timetrail should be enough in my opinion to at least try to bring him back. But that didn't happen. Al my helpers just stayed in the peloton (where they probably stil increase the speed off)

But I'm quite glad to see there are limits to that multifunctions helpers. Otherwise, a lot of people wouldn't stop complaining that their helpers didn't help their sprinters at his fifth fall, as they were in the same time chasing an escaped rider, and preparing the final sprint. Moreover, it will help teams to remembers having a sprinter/leader with low bravory/steering is a risk that helpers can't completely avoid.

just a small part of the mountain in the race that then mountain monoskill get big gaps in the race, when the race is mostly flat is not the same thing ... the great malton (cyclist of EGV), should have 2 in flat, so other riders in the race today, mostly flat, which have low skill flat, we come in large group behind my attacker Vescio and behind Barbantini perhaps it attacker, taking the finish line only a little gap over the big gap inflicted in the mountain race of minitour; so all the big tours and mini tours will always won by mountainers, and the lucky managers who have trained mainly mountain will always advantaged rispect other managers who have trained other skills ... p.s.: pardon my very bad english

i like it like this. I have never seen a flat cyclist in real life winning a big tour! I dont like seeing them here in the game.
I recommend more flat races though. So the flat/sprint cyclist win more stages and the mountain/timetrail cyclist win the yellow jersey.

Hello, I'am a problem with the race report, all Ajax request take 30" for be download, the file was very big. 1,2 Mo said firebug... Is the binary information in the input type="hidden" name="__VIEWSTATE" is very important ? because it take approximately 260ko at each download... Could you suppress the space before the tag between line 336 and 11154, the file will be 360ko more lite... It's a suggestion This is annoying indeed. I know its not a priority now with all the problems, but please check it. I can't see the race in the report using "next part" button (I get a timeout and not possible to go to next part, after some parts).

Maybe you have never seen a rider called Miguel Indurain. ;D my thought was not win the tour with flat rider but to fight for the victory with multiskill because if it is right that a monoskill with 12 mountain inflict a gap to my multiskill with 7 in the mountains should also be possible the other way when the race is moves in the plains, the mountaineer with 12 monoskill 2 in flat has to take gap against my multiskill that besides having 7 mountain also has 8 in flat and maybe 5 on a hill etc., but currently is not so, multiskill don't have chance against huge monoskill in tour with also few several mountain races +1 I like the new RE but it needs some "tuning". At the moment i think that multiskills are not better than monoskill (obviously with comparable number of skill points). Are we going to mountain (+ little increase in the others skills) for tours and Sprint + litlle flat for 1 day races?

In a tour the monoskill mountain rider will no go with 100% or 95% in mountain stages, so your rider will not loose many time with the right helpers and in the flat stages he can win time again with good helpers If nobody attacks in a mountain stage a rider with skill 7/8 can keep a rider with skill 10

Maybe you have never seen a rider called Miguel Indurain. ;D you did not get the point. Did Indurain ever gain significant time advantages on flat stages? I remember him winning the tours on the timetrails and at the same time finishes with the best in the mountains. So if u would make him a peloton rider he would probably look something like that flat 7 mountain 10 timetrial 7 while his opponents at that time would look like this flat 2 mountain 12 timetrial 2 But still he never gained time over his opponents on a flat stage. Because in real life all riders finish with the peloton on the flat stages unless they have a fall or something.
