ive entered into the tour de france and was wondering how to set my tactics ? The person i think has the best chance of winning do i set him up as general standings ?? All riders are set at 70% effort I know its trial and error i just dont want to completely mess it up straight away . I also have the other 4 riders as helpers ?

For Orléans - Paris the best tactic is Final Sprinter if you have a nice cyclist with flat and sprint . All others helpers. 4. you play for win Yellow jersey on France? or for winning races? 5. if you want to win Yellow jersey the best tactic is to attack every race at 75% in 5 attacking points (without attacking in ITT, TTT and sprint races). How good is your captain LS? (leadership). Captain is the cyclist who is enter first in tactics. For winning France, Italy and Spain is a long disccusion.

my team is british telecom and division is 5:2
im taking no sprinters and taking my best climbers .
was hoping to win the yellow jersey but dont think my riders are strong enough so might have to go for stages.
on sprint stages is it best to have my captain to save fitness?

To have a chance of winning a stage you need to attack at least 4 times if you have a strong rider, but in the majority of cases 5 times is needed. Good luck

Quick attacking guide: Choose the right attacker for the right race (e.g. a riader with high ability on flat for flat races). Attack at the points where the rider is strong (e.g. 7 flat 7 hill 1 mountain, don't attack in the mountains). Attack with a rider with high fitness if possible.
Reading the race reports might give you some more insights.
