What about contracts of cyclists? 12 weeks * 6 stages * 5 cyclists = 360 places. 25 cyclists * 15 contract races = 375 places needed. With tours and injuries and fitness @the start of a stage/tour it will be difficult if not impossible.

I don't know how to 'solve' division 4 and 5, but I guess a shorter season (12 weeks) might make it more attractive for those teams to continue?

Season length is pretty good at the moment. I would not like a 12-13 week cycle. Also : Ik like the big tours as they are now. Would absolutely not like to shorten them … less fitness updates in the tours etc (i know a lot of u guys do not like the fitness training that some of us take with the older riders… but I like that feature a lot … It gives more 'tactical choices especially for the big tours).

My 2 Cents: Season length is quite fine exactly as it is now! Keep it 3 seasons per real calendar year.

For me personally it is no problem. I think for beginning teams or teams who are not at the top of divisions 3/4/5 seasons are too long and they sometimes quit because it becomes boring not being able to win for a long time.
