I've read a lot on the forum and on various guide and I'm using the races to try to figure out a little bit more on how the game works. In today last Giro stage (Saint Vincent - Courmayor) it happens something that I cannot explain. Can someone help me with some options?
Three riders involved (FL-HI-MO):
Grimladi 2-1-3 fit before the race: 45 Effort: SF
Tavanti 2-2-2 fit before the race: 57 Effort: SF
Cinci 2-2-2 fit before the race: 70 Effort: 70%, blank order
What happens is that Tavanti gives about 3 mins to the others two, ending the race 5 "gruops" before.
It's sound a little confusing for me: I expect all have more or less the same performance, with Cinci to have a little advantage.
Note that on yesterday stage, Grimaldi runs with effort 100%, ending just 2 mins before Tavanti with 70% of effort.
I'm referring only to my riders, of which I have a perfect knowledge of skills and tactics; I'm not interested to the final results: I'm not complaining for not winning
It depends a lot on the figures you cannot see as well, especially in low values. If Grimaldi would be a 1,0 and Tavanti a 2,9, then the difference in mountain is relatively high, for instance. While a 1,9 and a 2,0 do not differ so much. Yet you only see a 1 and a 2. And TT values also (can) play a part; and SP, certainly when you attack.
It is known that without giving orders (blank) sometimes strange things happen. Hard to tell what was happening why.
Try to play a bit with your riders and different tactis by making/joining a funrace or two. You will get the knack of it.
