Thanks! But that didn't come cheap. Not one result in one of the stages. Nevertheless it might be that in the end that was the right strategy for Yang - being a good (but not excellent) mountain but generally more all-rounded cyclist - because I guess it wouldn't have been enough for a stage win had I concentrated on one.
Now Weisheng Yang is going into a short vacation with his family before actively trying to regenerate again - so might be he will be ready for racing again at the end of the season and bring some more results.

Surprising week with De Droeftoeters who scored the most points and De Kasseinstoempers and Op kop de sloot in 'only' 3rd and 5th in the ranking.

Félix Cavaco has been sold for $2,662,000. To team Bolt Thrower LOL It could allways happen he would be back in 1:1 but I was hoping not. Congrats

Team Bolt Thrower contracted an experienced Portuguese cyclist to strengthen the team after the unexpected injuries of old hands Buglia and Granato.
Team Manager JoeLag: "I'm glad we were able to contract an experienced cyclist for our team. His name is Felix Cacao or something like that. Yeah, he is quite experienced and may be of some help for this season's finale. He's not such a big shot ... but therefore he came quite cheap."

Aren’t ypu afraid that he retires at the end of this season? If so, it is an expensive transfer.

If one pays 5 mio for Buglia, 2.66 for Cavaco is peanuts. Very unlikely they will gain back their costs. I guess it is all about sportive results.

Buglia? Missed that one. And I don’t even know the rider.

Billy Buglia? He did not win much. But he is good enough rider to be known. He was trained for a long time by Poekie. After that he was riding for some months for Joop. Nr2. Gent-Wevelgem in 2:1. Nr 8 for JoeLag in La Fleche Wallonne in 1:1. (At the moment he is injured.)

Well I think the price was ok. Higher would have been possible but maybe the timing was off (monday noon, no races and evening is better). For team Bolt Thrower he might be insurance to stay in 1:1. And as long as Cavaco does'nt retire he'll get points for the team the next few seasons. Myself I played it safe and let the manager in me win over the sportsman. After all Cavaco got me in 1:1. Possibly 2 seasons.

You all underestimate mood. I think that a ‘satisfied’ Cavaco doesn’t win races.

No, I don't think Buglia has been worth 5 millions. But as I keep saying: Our auction system sucks! It's all about if you make it to be online on auction end or not. So it was 5 millions for Buglia because I knew I couldn't be online on auction end - maybe 2-3 millions more than would have been the result of a fair auction - but I saw him fit my squad. Today - I think - I have been a profiteer of the sucking auction system. No one else online at auction end. Because honestly: Cavaco is worth more than the 2.66 millions. But indeed: If I want to stay in Div 1 I have to invest. And if the money is gone I of course can rebuild again. But alas - 55 millions could bring me through some of the next seasons I think.

at this point Cardoso is the favorite. I expect a great team time trial from Team Slayer. Mihnea too may have a chance. (depend on TTT strategy) Despite the fitness trainer, I think Finet can't do it. I still have a lot of work to do

Thx for sharing. Glad to read something in this thread. Comparing to both 2nd div our peace of forum is very quiet I also believe Cardoso is a good guess for winner of the TDF. My own Mihnea has his mind set on the Vuelta, looking forward to compete against his formar team-mate Cavaco. But a good end position, maybe podium even, for TDF is also very welcome. About youre fitness trainer-tactics: I've allways been against fitness training and still am. For youre team place 6 in div ranking is the max you'll get (if you can stay there) Every season riders get older and youre team gets weaker. I would recomend changing tactics but whatever you do it's youre choice
