Seems that Yang is one to look out for. For now he's in the lead, not counting today's stage hunters.
The Giro is a long tour with the real bummers coming at the end. I took long consideration to decide on my tactics. Now it's decided. Attack with 75% on the first 3 stages ... and then I will look how it's going. Yeah, I think with this tactic it should be a top five result in the end ... but I really fear that he'll won't be strong enough in the last week and lose it there.
But what about Köster? Does he have less than 5 mountain or why do you not count him?
Seems that team Bolt Thrower has good chances, too, to get in the top 5 of the youth classement ... but in the end that's only a little bit of € but no points against demotion. Still a difficult season.
Yes you are right about Köster, somehow I overlooked him. He is a climber indeed.. About youth, I see there are only 7 youthriders so a chance to get to top 5 is allways there Not aiming for that myself.
Don't know how big the influence of form is in the end ... but Yang is one of the most slowest form changing types ... and he's still increasing. So maybe his decreasing fitness and his growing form somehow balance out. Would be nice if he takes another 5th rank tomorrow ;-)
Whow BAM, you've got a grate youngster there. Fortune wins white jersey. Only 23y and ends with 80% fitness
Yeah, well, it surprised me as well. I brought him just as leader, and Gillett for the white jersey. But even without attacking Fortune managed to do better (also helped by the 2 flats of Gillett in the first race, but still).
