Helpers

Does anybody exactly knows how the helper thing works. I had in the race today 2 helpers set. When the peloton in still complete, 1 of my helpers falls, but he doesn't get helped by the other helper and therefore loses contact with the peloton. Later in the race, just before the first attackpoint, my attacker, set at 100% falls. Again, my helper does not help, so my attacker loses contact with the peloton. That is strange isn't it?
I also had set an attcker (going for GC) at 75%. Is that the reason why he doesn't help? I thought a helper would help anybody in the first group.
Does anybody know this?
Apart of that, a strage result. My best hiller, winner of the Dutch championship hill funrace, loses 5 minutes over the 2 hill attackpoints. That seems a little strange.

I cannot answer your question, but maybe it helps if I share two observations and an assumption. 1. I have seen my helpers help other helpers. 2. If one of my helpers help, they are always effective in bringing someone back in the peloton.
What I have never seen is that helpers go to help but fail to bring a rider back in peloton. So I assume that if a helper is not good enough to bring a fallen rider back in de peloton in one part, the effect will be that it looks like he was not helping at all.
So maybe your helper was not strong enough? Or maybe you had bac luck it was happening at an attack point?

No, before the attackpoints and I am sure he was strong enough.

2 helpers 2 attackers
the last one?
a gc man??? in my thoughts a helper has priority's a gc man or a final sprinter go for
but that are only thoughts (and kind of feeling)
(like the real cycling world)

to be honest Ab, I play this game for several years now, and I still don't 100% get the engine. I even think that if you simulate a race 2 times with the exact same settings, you get different results... something like a variable parameter we don't know off?
I already broke my head multiple times over this helper thing, I still can't give you a 100% suited answer:s
