Probably the wrong spot, but isn't there an easy way to get rid of the "duo attack bug"? As others, I faced it quite a few times already, having a somewhat tired rider short in GC and a rider at full fitness ready for a stage win before the final stage of a tour.. Always leading to a bit of a gamble in the end..

5 races so far this season, and also 5 teams with a win. And with Belluzzo as top favourite today, I expect it to be 6 teams after 6 races as well. Looks like it is going to be an exciting season! No, not the favourite, a favourite. There was too much DH in this race for him to be the favourite, and also clearly the mountain at the end was more to Ercolini. Belluzzo proved to be the best hiller in that race, but to be honest, I was surprised that any can rider who rides at 100% can lose more than 1,5 minute in 1 DH part. Belluzo has an average mountain skill, so when Ercolini and Belluzo started the mountain part together, I knew Ercolini would win. The only reason that I played Ercolini here was that he didn't have anything to do yet, and I didn't have a good hiller left either. In advance I honestly didn't think that he could win this race, but the amount of time he could take in those downhills was way higher than I could have hoped for. Indeed, at the bottom of the last mountain I knew that I could win it without flats and falls.

But for this week I will be very dissapointed if I don't get 1 win. I expect 1. And I hope for a second and 1 jersey although I still am going to try to both go for stages and GC in spite of the duo attack bug. 3rd race of Down Under will be exciting. Chaument, Clerckx, Ximenes/Genon, Zeegers, DeGryse, all depend a little on who goes for it, and who will be spared for other races. Quite high goals I think that Melazzini has the best chances for the points jersey in Down Under, so I guess that's 1 of the jerseys?
Strong riders for Down Under indeed. I will try with Clerckx, he should normally do quite well in these type of races. Besides the names you mentioned, I think that Hanicq will also try? If he does, he has at least good chances for the GC I think.

Yes, Melazzini is the one I hope for. There are max. 20 points to win in stage 3, Melazzini already has 24, so that limits the candidates down to riders that already have 4 points (since Melazzini is very low in GC). 1st sprint is after 4 attackpoints and a mountain sprint, so it is easy to say that the 20 points can only be won by a rider who still has a lot of fitness left and is going all in or somebody who finishes around 7th place and is already high in PJ standings (can only be Froment, Brembilla). When I am honest, I think the only riders who could take it away from Melazzini are Froment, Brembilla, Lasat, Cornelio and Renquin. But are the going all in, which means they cannot ride for another 3 weeks. I think it is more realistic that Clerckx wins the stage and finishes on 23 points, or the riders I mentioned before. I also have very good chances in Roma - Maxima and 1 stage of Paris - Nice. I expect to win 1 and hope for the other one And it was 1 jersey, not 1 of the jerseys. I hope for 1.

Ah, I now see I read that wrong. Don't know how I turned it into a second jersey. In Roma - Maxima we will battle again then, I was hoping for a win there as well

As expected, Clerckw with 23 points. Thank you Bam. And for Roma - Maxima: I see Cornelio is on 99%. He will be the third that takes away the victory...

Cornelio, that would be interesting. The best one for flat sprints, but with a mountain in it and especially the downhill ending I think he is beatable. Still a favourite of course, but I don't think he's a guarantee for the win. (He might also ride Nevers-Belleville instead, that one has a flat ending.)

No Cornelio tomorrow, this is not the right race for him. He will indeed do Nevers-Belleville. I remember Roma - Maxima from 3 or 4 seasons ago, I played Bagozzi back then, who had a better mountain skill than Cornelio, and he didn't even make it to the finish in the first group. On top of that the downhill finish is a major problem for me. I was actually planning on playing Hanicq tomorrow, who has a decent downhill skill, but as he was pretty well placed in the GC I decided to play him today instead. That didn't work our very great

Congratz Bam, I must say that I am very, very dissapointed about this one. Pity that you can’t see if it was close or not, but seeing Pratte’s stats, I can hardly believe that it wasn’t close.

That would be nice, if we could see the finish photo (maybe a nice feature to add). I'm quite sure that my guys won't be on it today, already happy with the 3rd and 4th place. By the way, it was a very fast race today, a lot of riders dropped already at the early flat parts.

A finish photo, or at least some way to see how close a sprint was, would indeed be a very nice feature! I was quite optimistic about the chances of Giraudo on beforehand (in fact, it was one of the first races that I planned this season), but you got me quite curious to Pratte's stats now

Hadn't had the time to check the race report from Roma until now. Heppie was right. A battlefield on the flat parts. Also impressed by the performance of 29 yo Urbaan Weer! Let's see what Paris - Nice brings. Decided to let my GC ambitions go to see if that has any influence on the stage result.

Damn! A flat and a fall is costing Gommers the victory and most likely the mountain jersey.

Unlucky Arno. Till quite late in the race it seemed like it was going to be an easy victory, but the fall and flat were too much. WC Bloedzak is doing very well so far!
