Hi! I'm new here and I'm wondering whether you can provide me with some tips and tricks regarding tactics. It takes me ages to decide who needs to participate in which race and with how much effort, so they'll be fit for the next important race. How do you guys plan your tactics?

There's an Excel sheet available (see the links below) which you can use to plan your tactics. If you put in the effort a cyclist uses, then it calculates automatically the fitness gain during the update. Hi, will be available an excel sheet with calendar as the last season please?
The excel planning sheets for season 21 is ready:
Full version:
Simple version:
(I hope the simple version works appropriately, I haven't checked it with an old excel version)
Edit 2018-07-31: Fixed race type ITT WC and age of U21 WC.

Hi! I'm new here and I'm wondering whether you can provide me with some tips and tricks regarding tactics. It takes me ages to decide who needs to participate in which race and with how much effort, so they'll be fit for the next important race. How do you guys plan your tactics? ^^ Definitely with the help of the planning sheet! I'm an idiot so I like the simple version and don't use the player fitness feature, I track it manually instead. I'm not sure of your team as it's not linked/mentioned but given you'll be in a low division I'll assume you don't have too much competition? Therefore I think it's best to use as little effort as possible on your best riders, that way you'll maximise the number of races they participate in. Two 3rd place finishes actually earn you less points than one first place, and even money, but if you take into account you also want your best riders to be fit for the tours rather than the single races the cash bonus for the jerseys should make up for that difference. If you don't think you have enough cyclists consider buying old riders who can earn points. They should earn more cash for you in their bonuses than their wage if you use them well (and if they're not, sell them again! In Peloton there's no tax on selling too many riders, or selling them soon after buying) If there's two races with similar profiles target the stage with more sprint/mountain bonuses for more effort/attacks. Most races are won by a rider attacking from the first attack point. The only time I'd consider not attacking at the first point is if you feel there'll be a lot of helpers / your main attacker lacks TT skill / the early stage profile doesn't suit your attacker. I feel like I could advise more but I'm struggling, ha.

Thanks for your advise, it's very useful! The planning sheet looks awesome! How do I use the fitness feature? Do I fill in the effort used during the race, the remaining fitness after the race, or... I can't figure it out

Yes, just fill in the effort and the sheet calculates the fitness after next update (almost always on sundays 8.00 PM CET)
