Now more and more cyclist of the first generation cyclists retire, I thought it was a nice idea to remember them in a topic. Feel free to add your favourite cyclists.

I'll start with a cyclist who was in my team from the beginning: Melvin van Quaquebeke. On his top he was a 7-7-8-7-13.7-10.  Although his stats are not very special, it was the most successful cyclist of BeterLaatDanNooit for a long time. Most of his win were back in season 4 and 5 when the new engine was introduced and sprint became more influential. In those days the cyclists were less developed and flat sevens with a good sprint could win flat mass sprints. In later seasons he became more a puncher who could win more allround races, with some small climbs. His 40th and last win was in season 19 in the Vuelta on the Cumbre del Sol.

Last season retire my captain Cosmin Cardei . Even his results/skills were not too good for me was one my important cyclists

i paid for him 1.500.000 and he have 1 skill ==> LS

his skills was , i think, 729 227,
experience 30, LS 27

he have max 1-3 injuries in his life

his LS help me a lot to have big results in division 2 and in div 1.

I miss him
Now is difficult to play with low LS


this season retire one of my mountain goats Lothar Lemius.
I dont care so much because i bought him later, is not from my team/a long time.

Claus Reckmann, sad to see him leaving. He was the reason that i am still in Div1 now. Only 36, would have been 37 now, but he left the game too early.
His stats were 6 12 12 2 10 12. I thought i bought him from Gsc for around 1.5mil. I was lucky that the DL was late in the evening. I remember Gonzalez writing me he was interested as well, but forgot about the DL:-)
In my team he mainly received sprint training. He was not the best hill or mountain guy, but all round the best i ever had. Did not win many single races, but every season he could win 1-2 tours. Also he provided me money in almost every race he started.

This game is brutal:-)
