Oh well about this first tour. I decided not to use to much fitness. Maybe you noticed that my riders will be fit for next week. I was surprised that the rest went down to 40% fitness. So winning a race or tour means going flat out. My team is a young team and I have only a few guys that could win a race. Also my leaders are not so good, they need a few seasons before we can use them fully. One leader has 9 leadership and takes al tours for his acount but the other has only 3 leadership, he takes care of the one-stages.
Now I know you guys go full out with fitness I will have to do the same wich means that the few guys that could win something get spread out. So don't expect to much of SeMTeX, we'll be trying now and again that's all. It's also nice being the underdog hehe..

What a pitty for todays race. My rider Cavaco had only 4 escapes because of poor LS (3). He managed to ride in second place half the race, had a flat and fell back to 8th-10th place. Escaped again to regain his second place untill the very end. But in the results he finishes 5th. Cavaco has 7+ sprint but ended 39 seconds behind Babbazo, Signore and Biagianti. And these 3 where 28 seconds behind Cavaco just before end sprint. So if it isnt the sprint that killed him it's probably the hill ending of the race. Cavaco's not good in hill.
Standings after part 19 Nr Cyclist Grp Time 1. Bruylandts 1 04:28:23 2. Cavaco 2 04:30:43 3. Biagianti 3 04:31:11 4. Babbazzo 3 04:31:11 5. Signore 3 04:31:11
Congratz to Bruylandts (RodeLantaarn) for winning the race.

A part of 15km at 5% is no cat piss of course.
What is more remarkable, is that Cavaco his first attack was at AP 3. At that moment he was already 2 - 3 minutes behind the front group. Think he lost there too much time for an almost certain 2nd place.

Maxz is in the house - ha ! Good to see you. Your first race and immediatly a win ... wow ... take it easy, man.
Less good news for Tokmok Races: he became a bot team. Really shame. So 4 bots now ... means no active team will go down to 4th division. Congrats everyone - lol.
Im curious if this first week is representative for the rest of the season. Something in me says yes. Rode and Firle for promotion, SeMTeX - Euskadi - Slayer for place 3, and PAN - real del tg - Fantachicca will chose their moment.
Weekly standing is no must for me.

If all teams will ride a full programm this season could be close. I still don't see myself promote just like that. I had a good start but my team has a lot of week spots. They will show up during this season.

Tirreno-Adriatico (Standings)
1. Arnaud 04:20:47 Time jersey (Euskadi Basque Country-Murias) 2. Steenssens +1:53 (PAN) 3. Doucet +2:02 (SeMTeX) 4. Lanoe +2:37 (Firle Bostal) 5. Ascolani +3:53 (DeRodeLantaarn) 6. Toto +6:05 (Slayer772004) 7. Goga +8:11 (real del tg. jiu) 8. Costa +8:32 (Slayer772004) 9. Gonzalez +8:32 (Firle Bostal) 10. Filipe +8:33 (DeRodeLantaarn)
One more race to go. With a lot of mountain. Will Arnaud (Euskadi Basque) keep 1 or more of his jersey's? (at the moment he's got them all) Does anyone in the top 10 have some mountain skills? Or maybe someone else from the peloton. If that's the case he's got +8'gap to close.
Doucet is going to try but not at 100%, so it's a big maybe for my team.

Too much new/unknown riders for me, so no idea. However, Lanoe is still on 85% ... means he is Firle his GC rider, so he must have the skills. He is definitely the big favorite.
It needs a really pure climber to beat him. With more then 80km mountain, its surely possible to close a gap of 8 minutes.
For myself, Im doubting what to do. Or playing Olejniczak (98% and my climber), but he is only 23 years old. Too young to really compete. Or playing Olejniczak as helper for Toto, hoping to get Toto on the podium. It will depend of my mood tomorrow.

Prices well divided again.
I'll support Carnea tomorrow. It would be nice if you get rid of this nil too, and join us in the chasing group for position 3. Close one between Rode and Firle there on top. Looks like Firle gonna take it over ?
Really like this season so far !
