I was watching the TL last night. Had some interest in a 14 flat rider. But he got sold for +600k, 35years old. Decided not to participate in betting. I alse noticed Antwerp buying Espino for 750k. I really wanna know what his plans are. He has 45 cyclists, 20 of them are 35 or older. So i was a bit surprised that he bought espino. Maybe i was wrong and he wants to go up to 1.1 inmediately. Same thing with groeneweghe (330k). I hope that he knows what he is doing Do you want a flat 14 for buy?

Let's hope so. Guess not all the oldies will retire as pronounced. But I've seen that too. 46 cyclists now and a great bundh of them 34 or older. I'm looking on TL for some decent 27-32 yrs. Not found yet. But I have time enough. Helas not money enough. But it is a good week so far. The season update and Down Under results were good. Expecting some results in Dubai too. If it's not too hot and sandy. Otherwise we go indoor skiing.

rarau, i'm not really looking for one. But if an opportunity shows up, i might go for it. Flat is not my favorite part, so a reinforcement might be interesting. I do want one with good tt and sprint Today's race, well, i can be quick. Yesterday when i saw chitul was in, i knew he would win if he was put on 100%. End of story:-) congrats david

Ah, my riders are well-known already I didn't know he would win, but he has a nice flat/hill combination indeed. For Dubai I have some decent flat cyclists starting. But I'm als racing with a young leadership so I'm wondering how that will work out.

Nice win congratz. My leader of today was a youngster so I couldn't attack 5 times. Nevertheless. Well done David.
Looking out for Dubai. Who's got the flatters? 2nd stage is a sprint stage. Don't like that. Highest sprinter is a normal 7. So top 20 will be ok.
Still figuring out tactics and team for Paris-Nice.
Busy week next week.

Sorry Vroompie. ;-)
Guess your flatter is better than mine. I went 95% you didn't. So it could be the other way.
And no I'm not gonna promote.

Nice win of MoI. Chague (Vroom) took the lead in GC Dubai. He'll probably win next stage and the TT-jersey. But Lezzani wil fight back! Going for TT-jersey, stage win and perhaps PJ and MJ. Yes, I know. Keep on dreaming. But hey it ain't impossible.

Hehe chakra, i'm pleased with your win. Never tought to be that close after the first stage. I decided to try for the GC, it might be the right choice. I expected more from lezzani to be honest. After sunday's update, it looks good for chague. Hope no crashes or injuries

I'm sure Chague will win this Dubai Tour. Guess a 16 or 17 flat? I'm glad you expected more from Lezzani. So you think he is really strong. ;-)
And surely he is. Perhaps he needs more sprint or TT.
Only half a minute difference. And then there is still ASA with 100% fit cyclists...

15, in combination with a high sprint and tt (both 10+). The next rider with 100% fitness in the GC is venet, at 2:09. He lost 2 mins in the first stage. Looks good. Let's hope for a compensation for my horrible first week:-)
When i look at the fitness levels, i guess lezzani will be participating in Tirreno? I was thinking about getting chague in the Tirreno as well, but now that things go this good i will play 100% tomorrow and give him some rest until Milan-San Remo or Roma
Trying to figure out something now for the upcoming tours. It's harder then it was before if you ask me. You have to plan well where you want which cyclist, especially without fitness%. Makes it more a tactical battle. Worked something out, kept in mind who other teams already selected. Seems like Omloop will be the victim for me. I guess i will start with some youngsters there

Haven't made my planning yet. Bet yes for a non fitness team it is difficult to make a tactical wonder.
In case of Chague it is the sprint and the TT that does it. Lezzani is 16+flat in combination with 7+ on sprint and TT. And he won't compete the Tirreno. I was thinking of Milan SR or Maxima too.
But first I have to make the tactics for the upcomping tours too. Though for the Giro I'm pretty sure teams will use their fitness. Sadly enough. But I'm sure that is the key for promotion too. So, no promotion for me. It's a real puzzle.
Mostly I keep the WC's in mind and Vuelta is a minor tour for my team. Since there is no TTT for elite perhaps I change my idea and go full for Vuelta.

16, nice one. I think the best pure flat rider in our div. Think Brembilla is also around 15. No lezzani in Tirreno? I was pretty sure you would use him in the San vincenzo stage About the tours. I just don't understand why they play the giro over 4 weeks. Most of the fitness trainers use it an entire season on their key players. Why should they suddenly decide to stop this? In case of the Giro, this gives 60% benefit compared to others. Oh well, we'll see. I managed to end 3rd last season, so maybe i'm to worried about all this. I already can drop some names who will be close. Traphagen, Eddie Vanpeteghem and Angelo Wavreille. This last one has been in my squad. Actually i was able to buy him back before the update (server change). But things were put back and Dirks toppers kept him after that. We will definately see them, probabely in the 3 big tours:-s Problem is idd, the promotion. They will gain that much points that avoiding promotion will be a hard one. If evertyhing stays like this of course. Maybe David can add some info about Dirks toppers. They have been in the same div last year? I don't mind the WC's. TdF mostly doesn't suit me, Vuelta does, so i always go for a good result in Vuelta. Combination is impossible. And from what i've seen from the calander so far, it will be the same story this season. Tour really has became a flat-hill combination.

I really have no idea about the stats of his riders. Only that some of them were really hard to beat...
I think the Giro period will be more interesting because of the new choices we need to make. Put our better cyclists in the other races? Or focus on stagewins in the Giro? Maybe even compete with a fitness trainer?

This is almost as good as a Royal Flush. Congratz EvilD! What a putsch! From place 7 in GC Div up to 2nd.
Chague did it. Wins the stage and all 3 jerseys. Well done.
Glad Lezzani managed to stay 2nd. Expected though a little bit more of todays race. But we start to know who the flat guys are.

Thnx chakra. Although i must say that i also expected some more battling in this final stage. If i knew this before, i could set chague at 80% and use him again next week. But i am not compaining. Makes my misjudgement from last week a little less bitter:-D
